Located on Silver Lake with views of the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Silver sands resort has a seasonal outdoor pool. Both free WiFi and private parking are available at this property. What breakfast? You could go next store (which the staff did not recommend) and get a free coffee with your key.
Located in Hart, Hart House Bed & Breakfast provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy free bikes, a shared lounge and a garden. All of the extra little touches that are not usually available at the standard B & B were here and we vastly appreciated them. Treats, sodas, coffee, tea and other things readily available at any time. The hot tub and outdoor gas fire station were a pleasant surprise. The breakfasts were superb, unique and served in courses. The hosts went the extra distance to be friendly, helpful and welcoming.
An indoor pool and hot tub highlight this Hart, Michigan hotel near the dunes on Lake Michigan. Including free WiFi access, the Dunes Express Inn and Suites is 6.8 mi away from Silver Lake State Park.... Is a good place for rest, good atention and the best un Hart
Days Inn Pentwater is just minutes from some of Michigan's beaches, finest art galleries, antique stores and specialty shops. Popular attractions like picturesque Lake Michigan lighthouses, the S.S. Great hotel!! I was so thankful we were able to easily switch rooms when our family decided to join us at the last minute and we needed a room with two beds instead of one. The pool and hot tub are wonderful!! We also enjoyed the breakfast. I was surprised by the awesome water feature in the middle of the hotel and thought that was great too :)
We stayed in Silver Lake Sand Dunes. It was nice and we ventured out around the area a bit too. The whole town shuts down after the Apple Barbecue festival the 3rd weekend of September, so if you are going to the sand dunes, be prepared for a bit of a drive for a hotel or food. There are so many campgrounds in the area, it seems like those who were camping were having more fun than we were.
Come here before Labor Day. Nothing in town is open after that. We were here a week after Labor Day and it seemed as though we were the only people here. It’s great if you want some peace and quiet for a couple days. We stayed 3 nights which was too long. 2 would have been enough. Good thing it’s only a half hour drive to Ludington and an hour to Manistee. Casino in Manistee is very nice. Mears is very small. No restaurants open in town. No gift shops open either after Labor Day.
Very beautiful location, also close enough to enjoy day trips to upper Lake Michigan areas. We went to Ludington and Frankfort for the day. Mears was very beautiful and the state park and sand dunes were amazing; however, due to the nature of people being allowed to drive off-road vehicles on dunes, area is very noisy and it is hard to relax. Would recommend Mears as a day trip only.
Not a lot of food places, Lighthouse was nice. Lots of camping, souveiner shops. Arcade, go carts, zip line. Frickin Chicken place yo eat was very good. Ice cream place across from hotel was good. Loved the Dunes. Lots of dune traffic.
Mears has beauty nature wise all around like sand dunes, Silver lake, part of Michigan lake ,Silver state park , great lighthouse and many companies where to rent jeeps, buggies, etc to ride on the sand dunes
We wanted to test out the new Jeep on the dunes. It was a blast! It is a great summer location to visit the lake and enjoy all lake activities and ride or walk the dunes. Great for wholesome family summer vacation, would love to bring my Grandaughter here.

This was a clean comfortable place. It met our expectations for the location
