The room was beautiful, my boyfriend and I stayed for a wedding close by. The room was beautiful and spacious! Very clean, even the staff in the lobby area were friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again, anytime.
In the Melville business district, in the heart of Long Island, this hotel in Huntington, New York offers on-site recreational activities and dining options. We had a great stay at The Hilton Long Island/Huntington this past weekend. Hotel was very clean. Staff was friendly, knowledgable and accommodating with all of our concerns/needs. Very nice hotel!

Guests at the lodge can enjoy a continental breakfast. i thought this place was extremely good value for the money. it was located in a great place cause I had to visit a family member in hospital. the room was very spacious and the bathroom was excellent. I really appreciated that fact that there was a telephone in the room .that is rare these days but I was lucky because my mobile phone died. the breakfast was ok for what they offered and the staff were very polite and helpful,
This Holiday Inn features an on-site restaurant, free Wi-Fi, and an outdoor pool. Downtown Manhattan is 30 miles away and Walt Whitman Mall is 6 miles from this non-smoking property. Very clean; staff respectful and courteous; nice and comfortable rooms; and a lot of parking.
The Melville staff is amazing from the wise lady at the front desk with a nurturing, caring voice, the one in the executive lounge making sure you have a great morning start with a good breakfast or the gentleman from the restaurant, specially Mr. Nagassi greetings me in French every morning. There’s nothing I didn’t like about my stay, specially the mall was not too far. Great team!
Central Long Island location near parkways and expressway. Melville itself has little to offer other than shopping and restaurants, but easy to get to Long Island attractions, beaches, and NYC by car.
Hotel was extremely loud and my husband and I were not able to get any sleep. The party at the bar was super loud until the middle of the night and it felt like we were sleeping outside. Then the fire alarm was pulled as some kind of joke at 2am. Was very scary and rudicioudly loud for over 20 minutes. Needless to say we needed to be up at 6:00 am to head out for a physical challenge and we received no rest. I will not be staying here again.
I loved the pools and room service was great. The hotel was very clean and we'll kept. But the front desk was not very friendly. They didn't tell me anything about the place not even where to find breakfast in the morning or where the pools or restaurants were located. Very poor hospitality.
Melville is basically the home of seemingly half of the island's office buildings. Heavy commuter surge on weekdays yields a pretty quiet string of strip malls, gas stations, and box stores after about 7 pm. Though likely not a vacation spot on anyone's list, Melville is a fine choice to stay if you are in the area for a specific purpose.
There's very little of note in Melville - mostly affluent residential areas and corporate parks of a number of major corporations (Canon, Nikon, Estee Lauder, etc.). So if you're going to a meeting at one of those places, or visiting one of the nearby cemeteries (some of the major ones in the NYC area), it's certainly convenient and pleasant. There are a number of fine restaurants in Melville. My favorite is the Sweet Hollow Diner at 100 Broadhollow Road - a traditional large diner, with an extensive menu of excellent food.
I loved everything about this place!!! It was beautiful!!! I was there because I was getting married. And I saw a few other weddings parties their too! The pool was gorgeous and the kids loved swimming!!! i will absolutely be staying here everytime I come to Long Island! the staff was very nice and very helpful too!!! Thank you Hilton for making the stay wonderful:) Much better then the neighboring hotel!!! (DONT GO TO THE ONE NEXT TO THE HILTON)
The area has plenty to pick from like diners or even Walmart
