Small town, quaint relaxing beach town. Most buildings are dated but alot of renovations going on. Tons of antique shops to visit in town some pricey. Great selections of food and restaurants both on wharf and in town.

We were surprised by the small town.

We were surprised by the small town. Great places to eat and buy souvenirs, but best of all was seeing the otters and their cubs up close. We loved it! There were also some harbor seals on the platforms. Guaranteed fun for animal lovers. We also took a walk to Morro Rock and watched the sandbanks and the waves breaking on the rocks. It was great! We had breakfast at Frankie and Lola's Front Street Cafe. We had lunch at Tognazzinis, dinner at The House of Juju and beer at Three Stacks and a Rock Brewing Company.

    Morro Rock is incredible!

Morro Rock is incredible! Be sure you leave enough time to walk around the wharf and the rock area. There were so many restaurant options that it was difficult to choose one as we were only in Morro Bay one night.

    Off season visit.

Off season visit. Several of our favorite shops & coffee spots were closed on Tuesday or Wednesday. Popular dinner restaurants were open and awesome as usual. Great November weather. Everybody seems to want to bring their dogs into the public spaces. We didn't like that.

Full moon time, beautiful sunrise and sunset views of Morro Rock, the estuary and harbor with sea otters floating and herons fishing, the causeway and the beach. Great businesses and restaurants, cafes, bookstore, art center, health-food store, and clothing thrift store.

This is a great local hotel. This is not a brand new hotel but it is extremely well cared for. We were impressed with the comfort and charm of our room! Parking within steps of our room. The location is excellent, with only a couple of blocks walk to the beach. Moro Rock can be seen from the hotel. Morro Bay is a great location, very relaxing and attractive village!

Great hotel. Met our needs perfectly. I was road tripping in California with my 2 grown up children and we all rated this hotel as the best hotel we stayed in (out of 6 in total). Morro Bay is great little town and we were all disappointed it was only a one night stop. Would recommend this hotel!!
