The patio was nice over looking the Marina but unfortunately, bird poop from the birds in all the trees next to the hotel flies onto the patio hit my wife in the head, needless to say, she wasn’t too happy about it because we were also eating food at the time:-(

The room was very comfortable and had a really nice home feeling with a wonderful view. I love the location because it was still on the main road of Morro Bay to where we can walk, but it was towards the end where it was kind of out-of-the-way of the major cluster.

Be careful of what food you order in Morro Bay...the restaurants need to chip in to provide a cleaning service to clean all the restrooms made available to customers, They were filthy and gross with feces and urine. The coffee and pastry shop that was formerly a bank was good. The best food we had was in San Luis Obispo, not Morro Bay.

If traveling with children, do take time to enjoy Morro Bay's Museum of Natural History. Wonderful information about Morro Bay Estuary, presented in variety of ways. Numerous places to dine from causal to elegant. Easy town to get around in except for it's popularity. The Embarcadero area Fun, yet very crowded on weekends and during hot Summer days.

    Overpriced!

Overpriced! Close to a main street - took time to find correct front door. Arrived after 10 p.m. and window was open and did not realize how loud the automobile noise would be all night. Please purchase new towels. Cleaner did not need to clean for two night stay. Please add large table inside and put small table outside. It would be nice to have coffee packets for each day. Wonderful weekend with family in SLO. Thank you. Sonya & Dave Huggins

If you are looking for an oceanside stay between San Jose and Los Angeles there are a few choices, but Morro Bay is small, quaint and still affordable. Go before it gets discovered. Dinner at the Galley is top-notch for such a small town, and staying at Rose's Landing is very sweet.

Besides having what we felt was the best accommodations in all of Morro Bay the gift shop on the ground level had such a wide variety of gifts and locally designed items it was absolutely the best place to purchase souvenirs to take back home!

Very lovely privately owned hotel close to the water front. You are in the middle of all the shops and restaurants in Morro Bay. The hotel is very clean and has everything you need. The check in staff are always extremely friendly. You get a free bottle of wine and some chocolates to enjoy your stay even more. This is in my opinion one of the very best hotels in San Luis Obispo County and I have come back a few times.

Morro Bay is a nice little village on the Highway 1. Fireside Inn is a simple motel and fits perfect for a short stopover. Rooms are big and the beds are good.
