Great spot for a quiet getaway. Everyone is so friendly. Plenty of places to eat but only 2 places to go for a drink after 9, Legends and The Siren. Our favourite place to eat was Rose's, which had a great sunken bar counter for you to eat at with great views of the ocean. The Libertine next door has great food as well, we loved their brews and vinyl collection! Stunning scenery. We will definitely be back!
Morro Bay is a small town, close to other places we wanted to visit (like the elephant seals, Cambria, and the Montana de Oro tide pools). We found some great little local food spots. (Try Carla's.)
My fiancé and I drive up to Morro Bay for the night or sometimes just for the day! (From Camarillo). We always stay at The Beach Bungalow and Ann, the desk clerk, always knows our favorite room!! Just a short walk to Embarcadero! We love to eat at Giovannie’s Fish Market and Galley! Love picking our the fresh clams and have them steamed..Mmm 😋 delicious! Along with some hot clam chowder and rolls!! And for a great sandwich go to Hofbrau...we love the hot pastrami! You really can’t go wrong with the local seafood restaurants here...they catch it daily!! On our next visit to MB..we’ll plan on going to Hearst Castle! We just got home today...and already are planning our next trip soon!
passed through a few times before with no interest in stopping, glad we had the opportunity to stay a couple days, relaxing, quiet, friendly, and neautiful little seuded beach town, i would move here in a heart beat.
Love traveling here in the winter...we could enjoy our strolls on the beach and through the shop, we could enjoy our meals at restaurants not feel rushed by waiting lines of people to get a seat. The town was so peaceful
Walkable seaside town just off route 1 as you head north or south on Central Coast. Lots of quality seafood in restaurants along the Embarcadero. You can hear harbor seals barking from your motel room and walk along the beach or take a harbor cruise. For the first time this trip, I went to Bay Theater, a single screen house with excellent sound, comfortable seating, open beam ceiling and first run movies. A treasure!

The grounds were very close to the main strip so food was only walking distance with lots to choose from, the window from our room also offered a nice view of sleepy morro bay. I would also like to mention my traveling companions and I had some complications and had an unexpectedly long drive arriving past the office hours but staff had left detailed instructions on how to get into our room which was already warmed up for us, it was a a huge relief for the weary travelers and was much appreciated.

Morro Bay was cool and rainy with the undefinable charm of shore towns in the off season. And this hotel provided a fine place to enjoy it. Located on the edge of the Embarcadero, it was a pleasant stroll to the shops and restaurants. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, and our balcony revealed a sliver of the famous rock. We also appreciated the free breakfast, and the excellent staff in the breakfast room.

We stayed here for one night on our way from Monterey to LA. The room was good with a nice bed and a reasonable size bathroom. Had a good sleep and got breakfast served right into our room. Morro Bay is a nice quiet town, away from the the busy touristic places. We recommend this place.
