It was a great short vacation trip for us. We loved the hotel we stayed in. It was great to be able to eat a real breakfast in the hotel, not just danishes, etc, but real country breakfast. Service was good. Some problems in the room but no biggy.
Loved walking downtown. Favorite spots to eat definitely taco mamasita on Sullivan's island and the Tattooed moose has great food funky atmosphere. Folly beach is over crowded. Parking is always a pain but really enjoyed Charleston.
Short drive into Charleston, over the Ravenel Bridge. Easy drive from the airport, not much traffic off hours but pretty heavy during commute time. Ate at Pages Okra Grill. Chicken and waffles not to be missed and check out the Bloody Mary bar for Sunday Brunch. Enjoyed Collective Coffee, great coffee, good food, fun atmosphere. Decent shopping at Town Center. Nice beach at Isle of Palms.
I like everything about it! Not our first visit. We stay in Mt. Pleasant whenever we visit the Charleston area. Something for everyone. Shopping, food, great movie theater and so much more. It's safe and the people are friendly. You feel comfortable going for a long walk. The proximity to Charleston, Sullivan's Island, Daniel Island and Isle of Palms makes it affordable and fun. Try the Obstinate Daughter and HomeTeam BBQ on Sullivan's Island and visit all the restaurants on Shem Creek. You won't be disappointed!
