Comfort Suites, hotel in Murfreesboro

The Comfort Suites hotel is located off Interstate 24 in the prestigious Gateway District, less than one mile from the Stones River Mall.

The location was close to restaurants and bit too far from the university. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and thoughtful. They folded up our daughters' blankets and put their squishmallows on top of our pillows one day while we were out. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean. There were plenty of choices for breakfast each day. So overall, a great stay for the five days we were there.

Staybridge Suites Nashville SE - Murfreesboro, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Murfreesboro

Staybridge Suites Nashville SE - Murfreesboro, an IHG Hotel, has far exceeded my expectations for a hotel room. 1. STAFF-We were warmly greeted when we arrived(I wish I could remember her name). She even went above and beyond. She asked if we were reward members, and I did not know. She said she would check later (a line was forming behind us). She did, and we were not members. She signed us up to get the points for this stay! The rest of the staff was delightful during our stay! 2. CLEANINESS-Everything was so clean. I have an immunity disorder, so I always wipe down our room (we had a room with a kitchen) with Norwex cloths. The room appeared very clean (inside cabinets and all), with no dust! The breakfast area was spotless, and tables were wiped off after someone had finished. The pool area was always swept, and the pool's side was scrubbed with a rubber broom every morning. 3. POOL-I told you how clean they kept it. They tested the water every morning I was there. There were plenty of soft, thick towels. The lounge chairs were comfortable and adjustable. They had several of those. There were two tables with umbrellas and four chairs. The depth of the water was 3 feet at one end and went to 5 feet to the other end. Around the pool was lovely outdoor tile (It is an outdoor pool) that is NOT slippery when wet. 4. BREAKFAST-The food was plentiful, hot, and delicious. They had a variety to choose from cold or hot cereals (cold or oatmeal packets), bread, bagels, scones, eggs (scrambled or fried and hard-boiled), starch (biscuits one day and potato coins on the other day), fresh fruit, juice, and individual milk containers. Everything was always kept fresh and wiped up. 5. HAPPY HOUR -They only have it on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. It was very nice for a hotel to have this little bonus. They had two beers on tap (one was a local and VERY tasty). The first night, they had waffles, chicken nuggets, and fresh-cut seasonal fruit.

Growing college town with a lot of unique eateries.

Growing college town with a lot of unique eateries. Area around hotel is busy but safe. Traffic can be an issue at peak times but typical for a growing suburban area. Overall, Murfreesboro is a fun town to spend a weekend or use as a base camp for a Nashville excursion. I recommend Toot’s (wing spot with a good atmosphere) and Demos’ (local legend Italian/steak restaurant that NEVER misses). The Discovery Center was a great visit for my 6 YO. Very affordable and tons of interactive exhibits.

It is a pretty small town.

It is a pretty small town. Everything is very centrally located by the highway, consisting of plenty of mid-range hotels, a few gas stations, and your typical stores: Walmart, gas stations, Ross, Marshalls, Sams Club, etc. There is nothing that I found particularly fun or appealing. However, if you are traveling from Murfreesboro to Nashville, there is a bus that will take you straight to downtown or Central Station in Nashville (which you can take the 18 straight to the Nashville Airport for $2.) The buses are purple and cost $1 to go from Murfreesboro to Nashville. You can find the schedule and bus stops here: https://www.wegotransit.com/ride/maps-schedules/bus/84-murfreesboro/

Enjoyed Stoneriver Battleground Museum And grounds ,great history lesson for the area . Grandchildren loved the canons in the grounds and the video in the museum . along with all the battle artifacts and photos . BBQ places and fast food available at almost every turn ! Many choices for whatever your whims . Need to be aware of the traffic congestion possibilities & construction when planning a trip so close to Nashville . Would plan a different direction to take next trip .

Lots of great places to eat and most people there were very friendly, but the traffic is busy most of the hours in a day or night, I would suggest planning your commutes with time allotted for busy traffic. Also, The Chop House has excellent food and customer service.

EVERYTHING about this hotel SUCKS! The smell from entering the hallway and the room was horrendous! There was a VERY musty, moldy, putrid smell! Even the bed sheets were damp. The carpet in the hall was stained and filthy, in the room was worse! Your feet stuck, very sticky and damp!
