ChinaIt was a good stay, the manger at the inn was super nice and I had great experience with him. I left a pair of shoes after check out, and found out the next day, called him, the manager drove for more than 1 hour to send it to me in person. My tear almost drop for what he has done, so thankful.

the place we stayed was beachfront,so for me thats perfect.i can always walk/run especially early in the morning.also the pier is really close .downtown is walkable.and farmer's market on thursdays is fun although the products are getting pricier so just watch out for that.we catch the boatride in oceanside harbor to see the dolphin/whale.so much fun.

I requested a very late check in (3-4AM) only because we were traveling from Santa Barbara. We were just suppose to stay less than 7 hours max as check-out was at 11AM but we get there a few minutes after 4AM since the rain was pouring so hard. We were surpised that the booking was cancelled and there was no advise, no email or call. The front desk staff was not at all empathetic and we just had to book a new room as we were actually tired and got wet coming down from the car to the front desk. Room smell bad, must be the carpet. But we had to sleep/rest. At 10:45AM, we prepared to check-out by 11AM as we had a lunch meeting nearby which was the very reason why we opted to pay the full amount for the booking even if we have to stay for merely hours. So my partner went the front desk. As soon as the $200 cash deposit was returned to my partner, front desk called and said we need to vacate the room ASAP. I said we still have 15 minutes but the staff said you got the deposit so you have to go. By then my partner was not even back from the reception counter when the front desk called and the cleaning lady knocked and said she need to clean it. What a very bad way to treat your guests!

Oceanside is a unique blend of upscale lodgings and restaurants and clubs, to decades old mom and pop shops and dining spots, the military and the surfer culture. It's a very friendly eclectic town. The sophisticated traveler and the family out for a fun day at the beach will feel at home here. I loved the harbor and marina and the fishing, sailing community vibe.

The front desk personnel were all nice and helpful.
The cleaning staff was polite and friendly as well.
We were there to see our grandson leave for Iran. So our stay was somewhat subdued but we appreciated all the amenities we had and used.

Oceanside has a family friendly laid back vibe with plenty of restaurants, farmers markets and activities to choose from. The star attraction is the longest wooden peer on the west coast. It invites all to walk or run it and enjoy watching the surfers connect with the ebb and flow of the Pacific Ocean or watch the fishermen trying their luck off the peer or maybe watch the setting sun dip into the vast horizon. There is plenty of beach for those who want to take the plunge or just sit on the beach and enjoy that feel good boost in serotonin from the negative ionic breezes rolling off the surf. As with any west coast beach town, the traffic can get busy and parking can be a challenge but once there, it is worth it.

Oceanside has drastically evolved over the past decade. What was once a sleepy, beach town where young military men prowled has become a brew & coffee hub with towering beach hotels just steps away from the Oceanside pier.

The place was good. The area is very expensive, this was the cheapest I could find where I was willing to chance no major issues. And there were no major issues. And it ended up being good for a week's stay. I would recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay with no frills, but is cheaper than the average room in the area.
