Old Orchard Beach has plenty of shopping and choices to pick for eating. We ate at the Bell Buoy Restaurant and had a delicious meal. We walked from our hotel to the restaurant and shopping. There are many shops and choices of entertainment on the beach.

If you want wall to wall bodies, lots of noise, lights, music, activities and stimulation then this is the place for you! It was just too overwhelming for my travel mates and I. When we head to a beach we want to hear the wind and ocean and try to find some serenity. Old Orchard Beach definitely isn't it.

Surprisingly clean, friendly locals and tourists.
Surprisingly clean, friendly locals and tourists. There was no sign of anything fancy anywhere, you shouldn't expect a 5 star dining or hotel experience but there's still good quality food and drinks

There is so much to do… the pier & amusement rides are busy. Parking is at a premium so be prepared to walk. Some of the businesses were showing their age, but so are we. If I had it to do over again I would have picked a quieter location.

I really enjoyed the beach.
I really enjoyed the beach. It wasnt to crowded and very clean. I didn't care for the food on the pier it was overpriced and not the quality of pier food I'm use to. However we went to Portland pier a half hour away to Luke's lobster we had the best lobster roll and chowder. We were told the best chowder was at Gilbert's unfortunately we didn't have time to try it.

We went there in the dead of winter so it was quiet...we have also gone in the summer and that is when this place comes to life. There are plenty of bars and resturaunts and bars to choose from. Also there is a small amusement park for children. Large choice of motels to choose from, everything is within walking distance.

We upgraded to a two bedroom suite. It was very spacious and comfortable. The Motel is situated in the heart of the OOB minutes by foot to the pier, at the same time very quiet as it is on a side street. From our balcony we could watch the town come to life as we had our morning coffee. The entire hotel was kept clean. The pool looked inviting but we didn't have enough time to go. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend and would definitely stay there again. Air conditioning worked great and we were thankful for it.
The price was very good for the area and the season. It was a basic room with a kitchenette - it was clean and the beds were comfortable, nice shower too. This is not a $500+ a night hotel room, but that isn't was we needed - we needed a place close to the beach that was clean and comfortable with friendly staff. We walked to the beach from the motel. It is near a pizza place too! For the price, it was a good deal.
Perfect location right on the beach. The rooms were very cute. The front desk was friendly and they gave the hotel a hometown feel. Rooms were updated very nicely.
We had a great stay at the Sandpiper hotel. The room was clean, the staff was very friendly and ready to help, and the location right on the beach was beautiful
