We liked the EV Charger, but wished there was another one. The room was comfortable but older and well maintained except for the curtains, which we had to close with a pants hanger! They are also not blackout curtains, so I had to use my eye mask to ensure I would sleep. Fortunately I had an eye mask with me. Also the phone was only a regular phone and we couldn't call the front desk, despite what the staff told us. Everything else worked well We like the fresh local cherries and waffle maker for breakfast.
Did not stay there, truck broke down in Canada. Had to cancel, they were very understanding and I was thankful they did it. Did pass by and it appears to be a lovely clean location. Close to May locations and easy access to the road.
I was simply passing through from Ferry County to King County. I was driven two hours from Ferry County to Omak to stay at a motel the night before the 6 am Apple Line bus (only bus that leaves Omak per day). I walked to the travel plaza before the sun came up, not enough street lights or sidewalk, and the bus driver never came. The attendant inside the gas station of the travel plaza didn't have any information, and the bus company never answered the phone (and didn't answer until four days later). The other local transit out of Omak only runs once per month. There was no taxi company operating in town, and Uber and Lyft drivers wouldn't pick up my (extremely expensive) request to get to my connecting bus. I'm sure Omak is a lovely place to live, but travelers without a car shouldn't risk getting stranded.
The staff was friendly ,the. Floors were very dirty in our room and the hallway and the entrance .im not very picky but that did bother me. As far as the bed and bathroom they were clean and comfortable. This is a older place so don't expect too much .and some things are upgraded and some are not.But we would stay again if. We were in omak.
Quaint, quiet central Washington town. Indian Casino, Rodeo in August, scenery, interesting geology. Easy to get around town, decent shopping (Walmart, Safeway, JC Penny's, Grocery Outlet) and a variety of food (fast food, recommend the Breadline Cafe and Hometown Pizza). Small town vibe with the accompanying small rural town economic challenges. Visited the County museum in neighboring Okanagan, good hour to spend learning local history & meeting friendly locals.
The town had a lot of amenities and things to see and do. We were at a convention at the Okanogan Fair Grounds so didn't get to see a lot of the sights but when we did "explore" the people were friendly and seemed to like living there. It was very easy getting around and finding anything I needed.
