Great spacious flat with comfortable bed and very well equiped kitchen and living room. Very clean. We had access to beach equipements (seats, towels) and there was a very nice beach just near the condo (we saw turtles!). The airport and Paia are easily accessible by car. We had a free parking spot just in front of the condo.

Makawao (Near Paia)
Lumeria Maui is an educational retreat center located in beautiful Upcountry Maui. I read reviews on booking before deciding to stay here, and then made the mistake of looking at google reviews before I actually arrived. Needless to say, they were wrong. This place is FANTASTIC! No, there is no AC, no television. That’s the point of the place. There are a variety of classes everyday. No, they are not all advanced yoga for champs. Again, that’s something you can do with the place though, can have your own advanced yoga retreat. Yes, the staff IS wonderful! They all offer suggestions on things to do and see. They are all kind. They are all chill. Yes, the place is clean. But there are plants and animals abound, feral chickens and cats, snails, lizards. And the wind blows. Sometimes there are leaves blowing about. Often times there are rainbows. The views are magical. You can see both sides of the island from the hill where the retreat sits. There is always a soft rustle in the abundant trees on the property. There is plenty of shade to avoid being overheated. (Caveat, I visited in November, so I can’t speak to summer months.) I found the place quiet, peaceful, restorative. Exactly as advertised. Highly recommend massage with Tanmayo. She is incredible! The pool and hot tub are wonderful. Great location - love the wall of shrubbery making the space very private. I will return, as often as i can!

God's Peace of Maui is located just 5 minutes' drive from the historic town of Makawao and 6 minutes' drive from Pa'ia's beaches. It consists of private rooms and shared facilities. How peaceful is the place. The staff/owners were super friendly and the hot tub was amazing!

Located in Haiku, 18 miles from Iao Valley State Park and 26 miles from Wailea Emerald Course, Puu Koa Palms vacation rental has accommodations with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and garden... The beach equipment available to borrow was the icing on the cake. The "hidden" location and good price were the meat of why we picked it though.

Located in Haiku in the Hawaii region, Bamboo Valley Inn has accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. All units feature air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. It is a very nice flat in a house with all facilities like washing machine, dish washer etc. The host provided additionally beach towels, beach chairs, cooling box and boogie boards at no costs which definitely enriched our beach experiences. Check in and out was very smooth and the host provided detailed informations on the facility and potential sights or facilities in the neighborhood. We would definitely come back.
Nice selection of shops and a few good restaurants. Shops all close at 6 pm. More breakfast places would be nice. Parking can be challenging. I did enjoy the town but I probably will not return to Paia. It was more crowded than expected.
We liked that we were in a small hotel in a small 'touristy' town. The location is almost ideal for travel to Hana and the National park. The unit was spacious and more than adequate for short stays. There is no TV in the unit which was fine with us. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel and we had breakfast there but it is open into the early evening. The small town is full of "cute" stores and other casual eating choices with just a short walk. The only drawback is the traffic backup at the single traffic light. It can take 5-10 minutes to get thru the light.
Excellent shopping and restaurants, beautiful beaches. Mana health foods was excellent for those who don't want to spend the money going out for every meal. They have a huge variety of food including a hot bar. SO many great shops, and cafe's too.
Paia is a great place to stay one night before your drive the road to Hana. Other than that, there really isn't much to do in the town. There are better beaches in Maui. We stayed 3 nights and could've done just one and been fine.
Great little town. A very cool relaxed vibe throughout. Lots of places to eat and drink with great food throughout. The Flatbread cafe for pizza and the RocknBrew bar for a sensational range of beers on tap
Great base for exploring the island but rental car is a must. Loved the artsy vibe and small town feel. Lots of shopping in small stores if that is what you enjoy and choice of excellent, laid back restaurants. For groceries (and organic food) go to Mana; the store is very reasonable. Close to good surfing beaches and lots of hiking. If visiting, park you car at the entrance of town and walk.
Great spacious flat with comfortable bed and very well equiped kitchen and living room. Very clean. We had access to beach equipements (seats, towels) and there was a very nice beach just near the condo (we saw turtles!). The airport and Paia are easily accessible by car. super easy to check in and out, fun location right in town and by the beach!
