We loved the beach- we first got there at low tide and were impressed with the views, sand, and access- 3 ways into the beach. Liked that bathrooms and changing areas were handy and clean. Enough space so you weren't all crowded together. We did park at the State Park entrance.
We actually ate each night locally at Spinners- the food was good and we liked that we could get 1/2 servings so as not to feel overwhelmed- it allowed us to get ice cream to go- to savor back in our room.
We traveled around a little- explored Georgetown Pennisula, and Southport Island. We also stopped at 4 pottery stores and bought local blueberries to bring home to make muffins!
We had fun relaxing on the grounds- by the water/dock, on the porch- catching up on reading and spending time together.
