Ramada by Wyndham Pottsville/Frackville provides air-conditioned rooms in Pottsville. This 3-star hotel offers a concierge service and luggage storage space. Breakfast was awesome. Cheesy omelettes and bacon were delicious. Room was very clean
Boasting an indoor pool and a fitness center, Country Inn & Suites Frackville is located 10 miles from the Yuengling Beer Company. Free Wi-Fi access is available. Breakfast was very good. The receptionist was fabulous - helpful, pleasant, accommodating - more than I expected - very friendly which I really appreciated.
Comfort Inn & Suites Barnesville - Frackville offers easy access to fishing at Tuscarora State Park and golfing at Mountain Valley Golf Course. Couldn’t believe the kitchen. Everything, including a full size refrigerator and dishwasher. Didn’t need any of it, but it’s there. Good breakfast selection, including a waffle station.
Room was clean. Staff was efficient and friendly. Breakfast was as expected, but had egg patties which was better than most. Parking is in a lot across the street. You need to bring your suitcases, etc., from the lot to the building including about 6 steps. Area is urban and questionable, however, we walked one block to a good Chinese restaurant for dinner with no problems. If you have business in Pottsville, this is a good hotel. If you're traveling through, maybe out of the city would be better.
I would not stay at this Ramada Inn. The lobby was a mess, the parking area for cars was across the street and did not appear to safe. The staff was incompetent. Did not check in. They could not find our reservation and would not refund our prepayment.
Pottsville is an older type town. The yuengling brewery was interesting. It is close to the big cabelas store by Hamburg!Loved the pub type atmosphere at the Wooden Keg restaurant,in town cool place and the food was very good.Rt. 61 the main route thru town is very congested because of construction. We were there Jan.7 2016 and jan.18 2016.
pottsville is an interesting city. the native residents are very friendly. this city is a hidden gem. the downtown has not changed in over 100 years. there are some interesting antique shops. look down the side streets for little shops selling one of a kind items, no box stores here. this is a very unpretentious area. a plus is that you can walk almost everywhere.
