Staff were excellent, brilliantly professional and prepared to go the extra mile for us, the lady on the kitchen was so polite, lovely and everyone said how nice she was. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The whole building is fabulous, steeped in history, and the rooms all have their own personality and character, with wonderful features in each room. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and evening meal, the products were locally sourced and delicious 😋 The town of Stanardsville is lovely and has a great shop called Noon which features local artists. You could spend hours in this shop!

Amazing from start to finish! Breakfast selection like nothing we've seen elsewhere...biscuits and gravy, eggs, hashbowns, hard boiled eggs, grits, oatmeal with toppings, red velvet or original waffles you make, lots of cereals, pastries ad muffins, 4 types of coffee creamer and all types of condiments (Nutella, peanut butter, salsa, jams, etc... Even had mints and candies at front desk and gog treats for pets! They are renovating and we got a newly renovated room! My husband says we need to plan another trip just so we can stay here again...lol.
