here’s what I wrote the property: I have to say I’m concerned and dismayed (after booking this because we’re trying to be as Covid-safe as possible on this trip and I had gotten the message about their Hampton policy [from Hampton website and reservation info] to see most people without masks inside in the public areas. MOST people! We declined to ride in elevators with people without masks…but hallways, front desk area, etc. they’re unavoidable. Your staff are AMAZING dealing with the key system for all doors that are currently non-functioning. (They have to personally let everyone in their rooms!) When I commented on the no-mask situation and lack of enforcement, the young man just said, it’s California and not required. Luckily staff ARE masked - he said for his own safety. I’m disappointed and it will affect if I ever book Hampton again. Truth in advertising? Apparently not! Damn! (I found out later that masks ARE required inside in public areas in California)

After leaving an item at the hotel and was unable for some reason to connect with the hotel locally I was able to get ahold of the owner and they were able to track down my item and mail it back to me. This was critical since it was for my occupation. I appreciate the effort he took to assist me

The pictures on Booking.
The pictures on Booking.com must be their best room that is never rented. This place is bad, feral cats all over the place, seems like low rent flop house for locals that want to spend all night fighting outside Our door.

Loud party with alcohol going on and then fireworks after 11 pm. Phone not working to call office. When contacting office thru cell phone the office stated that they would contact the offending parties but it was still over a hour before it quieted down to a manageable level.

Fly fishing was great.
Fly fishing was great. Getting around Red bluff was easy. Food was okay. Unfortunately we had to limit where we went or what we ate because of covid-19. We might be back. Hard to say right now. Other people will definately have a different experience because wearing a mask or not wearing a mask is different for everyone. Stay safe out there!

Red Bluff has a "Mayberry" feel to it.
Red Bluff has a "Mayberry" feel to it. with classic buildings and a recently rebuilt clock tower on Main Street. Other attractions include the beautifully restored State Theater and the Sacramento River. It is also a good place to stay as you explore Lassen National Park.

Hotel close to highway, yet you couldn’t hear the traffic noise at all. All was exceptionally clean. The breakfast room was very comfortable with couches, counter bar and tables to choose from. You could sit and visit with friends and family. The hotel sold cold drinks: sodas, wine and beer. Also various snacks. The receptionist was very friendly.

From the price I had expected a total dump and was very pleasantly surprised and pleased. The front desk attendants were very nice as well.
