Loved sitting up in Jimmie's, the ambience was awesome, it was very relaxed and quaint. The staff were excellent!! We ate dinner at The Port and the food was outstanding!! Loved, loved, loved our room with the view of the river. Will definitely be back!! Overall I give this stay an 11! It was my birthday surprise to my husband and far exceeded our expectations.

This hotel features an indoor and outdoor pool, 24-hour fitness center and hot tub. Just 1 mile from Bay Point Park and Red Wing Bay, it offers free Wi-Fi in every room. We were greeted and checked in by Tom who was both friendly and courteous. He gave us some good tips about Treasure Island when we told him that we were in town to see Russell Peters. We loved our room and enjoyed the simple breakfast they prepared. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to enjoy it because we forgot to pack suits! Overall we wouldn't hesitate to come back!

Red Wing is a great town for weekend getaways. The restaurants and shops are conveniently located in the very walkable downtown area, including the Red Wing Shoe store and Duluth Trading Company. There are plenty of places to hike and explore as well nearby. The restaurants at the St. James Hotel (where we stay) are fantastic, with The Port being a personal favorite.
A delightful city with lots to do and see!!! Very easy to get around and if you need help, everyone is friendly and will go out of their way for you. There are many good places to eat and you will be able to find a place based on your budget.
We were just there overnight so didn't get to explore Red Wing. We would like to go back. Would not stay at the Days Inn! Would stay at the Rodeway Inn again for sure. Wonderful motel for a nice price.
The downtown is awesome. If you go, check out the pizza at Liberty. So many cool shops to check out! Fiesta Mexicana was also terrific. Easy to get around, even for someone directionally challenged, like me.
Red Wing is a fine example of an historic river town. The city is clean and set in a beautiful location on the banks of the Mississippi. The city needs reinvigoration with more unique shops including artists and crafts people. The Sheldon Theatre is a must visit. The St. James is a must stop.
We like to bike a lot and the cannon valley bike trail is what brought us to the Red Wing area. It's a Great town and my wife loves to shop in the Red Wing area. We usually go there a couple times a year.

Lovely room but not quite the heritage room I expected. The views of the depot and river was amazing. Jimmy's bar was great. Amazing service from the bar maid who was lovely to chat to. Food was good. Red wing is a lovely town.

It was the only accommodation available in Red Wing when we booked. It was not our first choice.
