This is definitely a place I would stay again if I were to visit the Tampa area. It's a bed and breakfast with a river running along the gardens and kayaks available. The beds, showers, and even the chocolates and coffee in the living room were luxurious and indicative of the quality of the owner, Chris. Be sure to try the breakfast that Chris prepares, especially if you stay here. It was the best home-cooked breakfast I've ever tasted in the United States. Due to the nature of the bed and breakfast, one had to share the living room and bathroom with other guests, but this time we had the place to ourselves as there were no other guests. It was great to get a feel for the atmosphere of a middle-class American home, especially as we had several conversations with Chris and his husband. We had a great time staying here, enjoying the beautiful nature of the house, the pool, and the ping pong table by the pool and the rocking chairs in the garden. I always think of the breaking sun in the garden.

Booking .com lied to us about price for room and told us...

Booking .com lied to us about price for room and told us there was a hot tub that was a lie . SO I WILL NEVER USE BOOKING .COM . I should have learned the first time but I thought it was a mistake but this lady promised it had a hot tub and I feel like they tell you what you want to hear and then you reserve it and drive all the to Florida 17hr drive to find out it was all lies even the price. It was $40 or more for the room than they told me.

Very convenient location, clean, comfortable accommodation...

Very convenient location, clean, comfortable accommodation and a friendly staff all made this as good as it was. The downside is no free breakfast and even though it is an extended stay hotel they do NOT furnish any needed supplies for you to be able to prepare food in the room even though there is a two-burner cooktop. There is also a full size refrigerator/freezer and a microwave. I guess they expect you to bring your own cooking/serving supplies from home!

Loved the property on the Alafia River!

Loved the property on the Alafia River! We took a stroll down to the dock. We enjoyed the beauty… Would like to have had more opportunity to meet and talk with the owners. We had dinner at The Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City and the next day a City Bus Sightseeing Tour of Tampa—both, I highly recommend!

Very, friendly and professional staff from the front desk staff, kitchen staff and housekeeping. Overall beautiful, clean and the food choices for breakfast were great and nutrious. The coffee can be better though, stronger.

Everything was amazing.

Everything was amazing. The room, the common area, the outside area with river views, quiet and peaceful, outstanding food choices, pool area and games, walking paths, and our wonderful host Dasha! Best B&B we’ve ever stayed at, not even close.
