The Ponce St. Augustine Hotel, hotel in St. Augustine

Overlooking the San Sebastian River, The Ponce St. Augustine Hotel is located in the historic district, 1.1 mi from the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.

The location is really great, and it is less than 5 min to downtown, restaurants all around the place, and the pharmacy is no more than 10 min away. Very clean and comfortable, adding that this place is close to the beach, we have no sand or dust in the room. The room has a coffee maker and fridge. The restaurant is excellent, the food has good taste and the fried fish was amazing. My wife and I passed an excellent time with the family. We stay another night. This is the second time we have come here. I recommend this place. To come alone or with the family.

There are so many places to see in St.

There are so many places to see in St. Augustine and the food venues are endless. You can't go wrong with this beautiful old city whether you're a history buff or not. There is something for everyone here. Our favorite site was the Lightner Museum. We spent almost 4 hours there. It's a great family experience and a "must see." After the Lightner Museum, it was only a short walk to The Columbia Restaurant for a fabulous lunch! We could only spend 3 days in St. Augustine on this trip. Both of us have been there many times before, and each time, we discover another wonderful place to eat and another fine historic attraction. Oh, and Sunday Brunch at the Raintree, was to die for!

We really liked all the olde towne atmosphere, the narrow streets, walking streets and shopping, and easy access to information from the visitor info center. It was great to have the parking garage. Use it and you get free shuttle bus loop rides all day to 3 different old Augustine locations. We also liked the scenic boat cruise in the Mantanzas Bay. It was hot (mid-July), so a different time of the year might be better. Unless you like parallel parking and pay-by-plate parking, we recommend the visitor center parking garage. Be prepared to do much walking!

Seeing my best friend. She was able to take us to places. She acted like a tour guide which was great. My husband and I really enjoyed going inside the fort. We also enjoyed the tour around St. Augustine that stopped at certain places. Our friend was able to take her jeep on the beach. I had never rode in a jeep nor had I ever rode on one. I lived in Panama City, FL for 12 years.

    Great place to vacation.

Great place to vacation. Lots of historical sites to see, lots of good restaurants to eat at. We really enjoyed to hop on and hop off trolley ride! They do a great job of giving you a history of the city and anywhere along the route, you can just hop off an explore it in greater detail! We will definitely visit here again!

There was a lot of communication between the hotel and its customers in the form of texts and emails. The check in went smoothly, front desk was helpful and friendly. This is an older motel. The room was clean and well supplied. The breakfast had several choices that were freshly prepared as well as standard fare. The pool was excellent ! The free shuttle into the historic district was a nice bonus!

The staff were very friendly and helpful with tips for exploring the town and the Night of Lights. The location was just perfect. We parked our vehicle right in front of our room and then could walk to town to see the lights and visit many shops and eating locations. St. Augustine is such a nice historic little town. They served a really nice breakfasts in the Hotel lobby.

Rooms were spacious and bed very comfortable. Room was also very clean. Fridge and Microwave. Not too far in an uber to the historic district. Parking there is tricky and expensive. Quite a long walk from the Inn so I recommend an Uber. Winn Dixie a couple of miles away and cvs across the road. A few eateries around the hotel but didn't try them.

The room was clean. The location was so close to the historic downtown. It is a quick 5-10 minute walk across the Lions Bridge to St George Street! It isn't a luxury hotel, but the room was clean, safe, in a good location, and had a big TV!
