Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel, hotel in San Diego

Located only minutes from San Diego International Airport, world-class sailing and whale watching, this hotel offers comfort and modern amenities.

Excellent place to stay, great location near the marina, fresh fish is available locally, both in fish market and in restaurants. The hotel offers good hot breakfast, included in the price. All in all, our stay was very enjoyable.Next time we will definitely stay there. Point Loma is our favorite place to stay in S-D. We tried other accommodation, and found that BW was the best of them all.

FAQs about hotels in San Diego

The Art of Easy Living

Sweeping along the coast against a mountain backdrop, San Diego has easy living down to a fine art. Its wonderful beaches and mild climate make it a favorite spring break destination, and with over 40 city breweries, there are plenty of ice cold beers to set the mood.

The city’s most recognizable landmark is the Hotel del Coronado, a wooden Victorian beach resort, now a National Historic Landmark. As original Spanish mission and first in California, it's has been relocated to the Mission Valley area, and Old Town San Diego still has many Colonial buildings and quirky shops. Also great for shopping are Horton Plaza and the boutiques in the beachfront neighborhoods.

The city’s most famous attraction is its zoo in Balboa Park, a few blocks from San Diego International Airport. One of the world’s largest zoos, it is well worth a visit, as is the fantastic SeaWorld, home to several killer whales. To see wildlife in its natural habitat head to La Jolla beach where harbor seals rest, or watch whales in season from Point Loma Lighthouse.

Just over the border from Mexico’s Tijuana, San Diego has a distinctly Latin American vibe and a variety of accommodations encompassing apartments, motels, B&Bs and hotels. See Booking.com for the best deals.

We always enjoy coming to San Diego.

We always enjoy coming to San Diego. It has been our most frequent destination for short trips over the past 40+ years. A lot of the attractions are located close by - the Zoo, Balboa Park, Coronado Island, the Maritime Museum on the Embarcadero, Old Town. Just be aware that parking can be particularly bad at Balboa park on the weekends. Just head straight to the overflow lot across Park Blvd. by the San Diego Veterans Museum and take the tram to the Zoo or the Plaza.

Everything we in in San Diego was great! The areas we were in was very clean and beautiful. Didn’t care for the shut down of I-8 east for our trip back home, their signage was not very clear to follow around the detour.

San Diego has a wide variety of attractions.

San Diego has a wide variety of attractions. The ones we like best are related to the port. There's a great harbor tour, and some lovely waterside restaurants. We ate at Point Loma Seafood, a fun, information fish restaurant on Shelter Island. The Gaslight District is excellent. This time we went to the air & space museum and were treated to a free docent tour which provided detailed explanations of the exhibits, and was very informative.

Surprising big, and incredibly comfortable, we came to San Diego for a convention and Town and Country exceeded all expectations. Hotel food is not normally great, don't expect great food here. It's decent, it's not horrifically overpriced, but this is not a foodies resort; not even the coffee was good and coffee is always good. This resort is immaculate and well-designed for its guests. The Monkey Bar was adorable.

We booked the suite room and it was exactly what we needed and wanted. The space was big, clean, modern, has a fully functional kitchen, hotel facilities were great, safe location, little Italy and the trolley station were only a few minutes walk, near the airport, downtown San Diego, and seaport village, family friendly place. We will book here again when we come back to San Diego.
