Sweeping along the coast against a mountain backdrop, San Diego has easy living down to a fine art. Its wonderful beaches and mild climate make it a favorite spring break destination, and with over 40 city breweries, there are plenty of ice cold beers to set the mood.
The city’s most recognizable landmark is the Hotel del Coronado, a wooden Victorian beach resort, now a National Historic Landmark. To see wildlife in its natural habitat head to La Jolla beach where harbor seals rest, or watch whales in season from Point Loma Lighthouse.

We love all of the things we did in San Diego.
We love all of the things we did in San Diego. A concert at The Humphrey by the Bay, sailing, kayaking, biking, Coronado, Navy Pier, Mission Beach and other exploring. We found all of the people we encountered to be very kind and friendly. The only complaint about our visit was that driving was stressful due to very aggressive, fast drivers, not allowing merges, crowding you out on a one lane exit, and motorcycles going through traffic at 100 miles per hour. San Diego has an issue with homeless.
San Diego has an issue with homeless. Some areas like the Gaslight District are pretty much kept clean however, areas surrounding that are not. I have not been to San Diego since the mid 90's.
I have not been to San Diego since the mid 90's. I had no idea where to stay as a solo female traveler. I reviewed a tremendous number of hotels and decided upon Sentral Gaslamp Quarters downtown, The location was excellent. plenty bars and restarurants, Starbucks. Grocery Outlet; and so much more. The next time I visit San Diego I will definitely stay at this hotel again, Also, visited Balboa Park and the Air & Space Museum.
