Room 1124, an amazing view of Petco Park! It was a "guys" weekend; my friends flying in from Phoenix, me flying in from the Bay Area to attend Saturday's Padres v. SF Giants baseball game. Check in time was reasonable, and the Hard Rock was specifically chosen for it's location to the park and the walking options in the Gaslamp District after the game. Check out was the next morning, today, Sunday.

Honestly the pictures didn't do it the room or the location justice online. Once we arrived we were very please with our room and its location on the first floor, facing the pool/beach. And for the price with the view it was definitely worth it! The room was a decent size not too big not too small. It's right off the board walk and near so many cute restaurants and bars. I def would stay here again and even recommend it to friends/family.

The city’s most recognizable landmark is the Hotel del Coronado, a wooden Victorian beach resort, now a National Historic Landmark. Also great for shopping are Horton Plaza and the boutiques in the beachfront neighborhoods.

San Diego has a wide variety of attractions.
San Diego has a wide variety of attractions. The ones we like best are related to the port. There's a great harbor tour, and some lovely waterside restaurants. We ate at Point Loma Seafood, a fun, information fish restaurant on Shelter Island. The Gaslight District is excellent. This time we went to the air & space museum and were treated to a free docent tour which provided detailed explanations of the exhibits, and was very informative.

Great weather, great location. Beautiful beaches nearby.
Great weather, great location. Beautiful beaches nearby. San Diego Zoo was very nice. Torrey Pines was gorgeous. Also did a coastal drive from Oceanside back down to San Diego. Spent one day over at Coronado Island and that was charming. Drove down to Hotel Del Coronado and also drove down past the military bases. Back in downtown Coronado, there were many interesting shops and eateries.

Riding our bikes around Mission Bay was awesome.
Riding our bikes around Mission Bay was awesome. We loved looking at the beautiful houses and stopping at different spots to eat or have a cocktail. The Red Marlin by Hyatt was terrible and the food was only Luke warm. The World Famous on the boardwalk had excellent food but was so busy we came back on Monday to eat there when we didn’t have to wait to get in there. So many sites to see like all the volleyball players on the sand and people having fun on there yachts close by.

We lived here in the early seventies in Pacific Beach while stationed at NAS Miramar. The vibe is still here, although tweeked for population growth, lots more restaurants. Still love it! We ate at World Famous on the beach (PB), Crushed (PB), and Sammy's in La Jolla (LJ). ALL GOOD CHOICES!!
The room was spacious, airy, well appointed and very comfortable with a nice bathroom.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. A delightful small hotel with character in an excellent location in a quiet area with a view of the ocean from the balcony and just steps from the small beach and the La Jolla cove walk. Pelicans, sea lions and seals just minutes away made for a extremely enjoyable stay.
A great area with easy access to all the attractions that San Diego has to offer.
Very good hotel, excellent price and location for Coronado Island. Beautiful room, big and clean, very big closet space, Small but very stylish nice bathroom. Coffee and fresh water always available in the lobby. Free parking available 5 min walk from the hotel. Very close to the beach and to Hotel Del Coronado. Perfect if you want to relax and enjoy Coronado and its beautiful beach, not the best option if you plan to spend most of your time in downtown San Diego or La Jolla.
The hotel is in. a wonderful position, in the Point Loma peninsula, a few miles from Cabrillo NM. Easy parking on the premise, it allows you to reach every significant touristic point of San Diego in minutes!
