Location is great !!! Breakfast is delicious! The bed and the comforter was not so comfortble. I was cold at night. Once a week clean. Loud at night, its like someonesoffly drilling. Never had a good sleep.
Great place to spend 5 days near the water. Treat yourself to an ocean view from an upper floor room at SD Bay or Mission bay :) Its a quick drive to Old Town Mexican Cafe for amazing food (they have limited parking). Hop aboard a SD Bay tour on the Hornblower and learn about the local area. Catch a Lyft /Uber to The famous Gas Lamp District for some nightlife (parking is expensive so why drive). Walk the mission beach strand and take a roller coaster ride. Enjoy local bars and restaurants along the strand. Take a drive north to Pacific beach then on up to Mount Solidad for a breathtaking panoramic view of the area and a tribute to veterans. Head down the north side and head to La Jolla cove and park to see the baby seal beach area and walk south to find the tide pools. Jump back in teh car and you can go north to La Jolla Shores for a nice long walk on the beach. Scripps Aquarium is also nearby a little further north. Check out Cabrillo National Monument and the amazing views of the SD bay, Learn about the conquistadors reign. Stop by Point Loma Sea foods for some delicious fresh fish and gander at the boats docked nearby. There are so many great places to see and things to do. I highly recommend! :)
We never left Coronado! Plenty to do with a beach day, some shopping, all the restaurants you could want. We walked the entire island to view some of the massive real estate and went to the other side to see the ferry and shops over there.
The airport is undergoing a major construction project which made navigating from it VERY CONFUSING. Prices of nearly anything purchased throughout the city, left me broke. Homelessness is everywhere, in your face.
San Diego is a safe and amazing city, I enjoyed it a lot, it has many things to do, a lot of places to visit if you're curious, the people who lives here is so beautiful. Without doubt, I´ll come back! (: La Jolla is truly amazing, for sure my favourite beach! I visited a lot of beaches, each one has its magic. Ocean Beach is traveling to a hippie place. Balboa Park is amazing, old town is magnigic, Gaslamp Quarter is full of life. I ate in a lot of places, I usually ate in typical fast food restaurants in order to spendo more time walking. Moving by tram is amazing, although I prefer to walk in order to enjoy everything.
san diego has gone down hill way to many homeless all over the city. doesn't feel safe to walk around the city at night or day time. turning into a San francisco city very SAD i use to love going to San Diego.
It is close to SeaWorld and far enough away from downtown and hotel circle that you don't feel overwhelmed. There is a private beach that is a plus. It's nice and quiet, and if your room has a view of the public beach, you can watch the SeaWorld fireworks show at night. Each room has a patio type setup with two pool loungers on them that you can relax on and just take in some sun. Front desk staff are very friendly. Parking is really good. You can easily get a spot right in front of your room. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a negative experience in another hotel in San Diego which we left earlier than planned and moved to Hyatt. We wished we had done it earlier! We loved our spacious and spotlessly clean room with the beautiful views of the marina. The pool area was fantastic for adults and children. Doing s'mores in the evening was a lovely experience. And finally, compliments to the chef at the restaurant - we had dinner and breakfast there and all the meals were of top quality and the staff - delightful. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
The interior of the room and hotel overall is pretty modern. Room has kitchen which is great for staying with families or for a long stay. Hotel’s location is convenient, around 20 min max to different parts of San Diego. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was quite simple, but there were several options to choose. Swimming pool is small but almost always nobody there, so it’s enough space. There’re garage and street parking.
Downtown San Diego, San Diego
Location is great if you want to be in downtown San Diego. There is a good coffee shop on the corner and the hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from tons of restaurants and the waterfront. Close to the airport too if you have an early flight, as we did. It was clean and comfortable, I was impressed especially given the price. Staff was super accommodating, allowed us to check in 2 hours early + store our luggage and was super nice about it!
Location is great if you want to visit a lot of places in San Diego since the nearby Old Town Transit Center will get you anywhere in a short amount of time. There's even a free airport shuttle bus that stops right next to the hotel. There's a small pool that is available from 7 AM to 10 PM so you can can even go for a swim in the evening. Rooms are decent, no real complaints there...
Amazing Hotel, seemed more like a resort. The rooms were beautiful with an fabulous view of the Marina. The bed was extremely comfortable seemed like sleeping in a marshmallow had thr best night sleep. The hotel was within walking distance to downtown San Diego where there were multiple restaurants to chose from. I will definitely be staying here again!
The room was nice, it was on Hotel Circle so it had a great central location to the rest of SD! It was perfect for what we wanted it for, which was to crash and come back to rest after exploring San Diego.
The hotel is conveniently located. It has many things that you need during our short stay in San Diego. Although it is in the busy part of the town, it was silent enough for a nice sleep.
Good hotel on Hotel Circle in San Diego. Well placed for Mission Valley and easily accessible from interstate 8. Great staff. Comfortable rooms. A little dated but clean and well kept.
The only thing good about this hotel is its location. It is close to Gaslamp Quarters in San Diego. It is next to metro light train as well.
Beautiful hotel and great location in San Diego's Gaslamp District. Rooms are lovely. Wonderful outdoor pool area and restaurant.
I really enjoy the location of this hotel. You are within walking distance to so much and pretty much right in downtown San Diego.
Breakfast food was good. I liked the location of the hotel near the Navy Pier area in downtown San Diego.
We like the stay very we thinking to book again at the Hotel Indigo San Diego Gaslamp quarters.
