The service was excellent. Our room was meticulously cleaned every day. Loved the fact that we didn't have to bring our own beach umbrellas and beach toys since the hotel was able to provide these. The location was also great since it is just a few minutes away from the "main" Coronado spots.

Good location. Sea view and walking place outside of hotel. Rooms are very comfortable. Clean. Lots of parking space available and you don’t need to walk too much from your car to room. FAQs about hotels in San Diego

The Art of Easy Living

Sweeping along the coast against a mountain backdrop, San Diego has easy living down to a fine art. Its wonderful beaches and mild climate make it a favorite spring break destination, and with over 40 city breweries, there are plenty of ice cold beers to set the mood.

The city’s most recognizable landmark is the Hotel del Coronado, a wooden Victorian beach resort, now a National Historic Landmark. As original Spanish mission and first in California, it's has been relocated to the Mission Valley area, and Old Town San Diego still has many Colonial buildings and quirky shops. Also great for shopping are Horton Plaza and the boutiques in the beachfront neighborhoods.

The city’s most famous attraction is its zoo in Balboa Park, a few blocks from San Diego International Airport. One of the world’s largest zoos, it is well worth a visit, as is the fantastic SeaWorld, home to several killer whales. To see wildlife in its natural habitat head to La Jolla beach where harbor seals rest, or watch whales in season from Point Loma Lighthouse.

Just over the border from Mexico’s Tijuana, San Diego has a distinctly Latin American vibe and a variety of accommodations encompassing apartments, motels, B&Bs and hotels. See Booking.com for the best deals.

Our room was sandwiched between the elevator and housekeeping. The room shook every time the elevator ran, all night long. The room smelled musty and the water smelled bad. When housekeeping came to work the door slammed constantly and you could hear them speaking loudly. The neighborhood was terrible. This was not Wyndham quality at all. San Diego itself was beautiful.

Staying close to the port was great as we were able to walk to most things. The lady at the train station was most helpful in suggesting places to go - she spent time with us explaining things and even tried to find a hairdresser for me! The USS Midway is a must - please allow plenty of time!

There is so much to do in San Diego. It's great to be able to visit all the different sections of SD. This trip we were able to visit Little Italy, Gaslamp Quarters, Pacific Beach, and La Jolla. We found plenty to do in all areas. Definitely recommend a trip to San Diego.

We spent 3.5 days in the downtown hotel district, close to Little Italy. The highlights for me were the USS Midway tour/museum and the San Diego Zoo. San Diego was not bad but not a clean as I expected, except in the tourist areas. Getting around via UBER and taxis was easy. Little Italy was the place to be in the afternoon. Old town has great Mexican Food at the Coyote Cafe and the Old Town Mexican Cafe next door. We took the Old Town Trolley bus to when we first arrived. That was a good way to explore the city in one hour for us and you can hop on and off all day for the admision price.

Really enjoyed our trip.

Really enjoyed our trip. The food was great - did not entirely expect this. Public transportation worked very well for us. We took in a Padres game (they played Houston which doesn't happen often), took the trolley/bus to everywhere we wanted to go, did the inaugural Margaritaville 10K, strolled the port, enjoyed the outdoor bars, and loved OB Noodle House 1502 the home of Skrewball peanut butter whiskey.

A total of 7 people visited San Diego on a family trip and booked this accommodation. The host informed us in advance how to enter and information about the accommodation, and it was not difficult at all to find or enter the accommodation. It was a quiet and safe neighborhood, with supermarkets and gas stations located 2-3 minutes away by car, and highway accessibility for traveling to tourist attractions was very good. Next time I go to San Diego, I want to stay at this hotel again.

A very cozy hotel. Incredibly friendly staff. Convenient covered parking. Delicious food options. Excellent (and unique) location. Exemplary cleanliness and very discreet room service. We don't know if we'll ever return to San Diego, but if we do, this will be our hotel of choice again.

This is a good but basic hotel - a motel really. San Diego and La Jolla in particular is an expensive area so our expectations on value were low. Location is ok, about a 30 minute walk to downtown town La Jolla. Fairly easy to drive to other parts of city.
