There is so much to do in San Diego. We walked the streets and stopped in a number of restaurants and small shops. The food is fantastic. The waterfront has much to offer for couples and families. We went on the trolley tours and a brunch cruise.
The overall environment of San Diego is great. It is a nice place for families with a lot of activities to do. Like SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, USS Midway, Sesame Street water park, amongst others. We particularly liked Coronado and La Jolla. The only thing we noticed this time around was that there were a lot more homeless people as well as junkies. But still felt like a safe place to be in.
We enjoyed our time in San Diego. Like any large city, it had positives and negatives, but overall, was a nice place to visit. Interesting cultural spots, decent restaurants, and good public transportation.
We love San Diego we’re here every chance we get cabrillo national park shelter island La Jolla the sunset cliffs mt Soledad Oceanside harbor old town seaport lil Italy we take the ferry to Coronado we visit Chicano park balboa park and there’s still a lot more of San Diego to see and the food is great Phil’s BBQ Mr Birria in Santee Gordon’s tacos coyote cafe old town hunters steak house flillipis pizza domenics Italian rockin baja burritos n fries Kansas bbq Tony’s bar Oceanside
Our Sea World experience was pretty good despite the long line at the entrance. I highly recommend arriving at opening and purchasing the $99 a day tickets that include food. Be advised that any interactive animal experiences are extra. I really enjoyed our trolley tour the next day! I highly recommend this! You really learn about historic San Diego and get to see many highlights of the city. You can get on or off at any stop and see sights such as museums, historic hotels and great shopping. You also will get discounts on restaurants and attractions such as the children's interactive museum.
A beautiful city but unfortunately is going downhill in my opinion....prices up quality down... Turning into another LA like tent City for the homeless.... They should stop charging for parking your car; only deters you from going there and I believe it hurts the businesses....
Great location. Incredibly comfy beds (like sleeping in a cloud!) really appreciated after 24 hours travelling. Great transfer in the HILTON bus - William our driver was so helpful and friendly and welcoming. Delicious breakfast in a great setting, overlooking the Marina. We were very well looked after by Gennifer, our table host, who gave us some wonderful tips for our first trip to San Diego. My 10 year old loved the pool. A great Hilton Hotel with first class staff. We'll be back
Fantastic location with easy access to all main tourist attractions. Excellent value for money and great breakfast. I only used the pool once but it was good to have the option. It was a very short, easy walk to the cruise terminal which makes it a brilliant hotel for any cruisers embarking in San Diego. I'd highly recommend this hotel and it would be my first choice for future visits.
It is a plain vanilla motel but endowed with a superb location on the beach, well managed, clean and reasonably priced. Many shops and restaurants are available at a walking distance and the staff is helpful and corteous. Watching the sun setting on the Pacific Ocean from the glass door of our room has been a pleasant experience that added to the pleasure of the stay in San Diego.
We traveled to San Diego from LA for a weekend out and really enjoyed the central location of the hotel. Access to the gaslamp and the beach was quick and easy, the room was comfortable too and we really enjoyed the views from the 15th floor. Everything was modern and clean as well. We also got free drinks and some excursions with the stag courtesy of the hotel which was great!
I go to San DIego several times a year to visit my brother. We have 3 hotels we usually stay at, this is one. Sometimes we book through Booking sometimes directly with hotels. I usually REALLY love this hotel. The staff is wonderful, the location is great, I love the yoga classes. The kids love the pool, drinks are very good and overall a great place to stay!
This hotel is absolutely unbelievable. The best gym I’ve ever seen (better than Equinox). The hotel room was fantastic, clean. The rooftop has great views. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Downtown San Diego. I took the Amtrak from Los Angeles and Santa Fe Station is about 0.5 of a mile from the hotel. Highly convenient!
The manager and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. We felt very much at home there. The hotel is conveniently located to some of San Diego's attractions such as Little Italy and Balboa Park, It's close to restaurants. The hotel has some cute sitting areas that are nicely decorated and make it feel homey.
Downtown San Diego, San Diego
The location of the hotel is really good, right in downtown San Diego. They allowed us to keep the car in the garage after check-out so we were able to walk without the need to pay parking every single time we wanted to visit something. The room had enough room.
The steak and eggs breakfast at the Horton was spot on. The hotel is right in the middle of downtown San Diego (GasLamp District), but is relatively quiet compared with the noise on the street. Classy and old world accommodations. Extremely comfortable beds.
Our family really love this hotel because of the lovely setting and palm trees around the pool area. The hotel is good for families and has a relaxed atmosphere. Shelter island is a quiet marina and most things to do in San Diego are within a half hour drive.
Beautiful property in the heart of downtown San Diego. Great location and atmosphere. Loved the rooftop area for cocktails and the view. The staff was very friendly and accommodating in the hotel. The food was delicious and they had a great variety of music.
The location was central to downtown and the family I was visiting. The price was reasonable. Breakfast was much better than what was offered at the Embassy Suites. This has become the hotel I stay when visiting my family in San Diego.
Great location from everything we visited. 15 to 20 minutes from the beaches, the outlets, SeaWorld, and Downtown San Diego. The hotel is quiet and cozy. Walmart is just up the street.
We stayed in San Diego to visit Mexico and a bit of the city itself so we needed best price/performance hotel as we didn't stay in it too much. This was just fine.
The location is really nice: Gaslamp district has a lot to offer, and it is very near to the San Diego Convention center and other hotels which also hold events.
The location is in the core downtown of San Diego and is walkable to the Pier. Staff were very friendly and the hotel is very clean and well maintained.
We’ve been to San Diego three times this year, and I’ve been to three different hotels. This is by far the best one we’ve been to for the price
I really enjoy the location of this hotel. You are within walking distance to so much and pretty much right in downtown San Diego.
Mission Valley, San Diego
The hotel was close to the freeway, about a 5-10 min drive to downtown San Diego. Mall and restaurants were close by.
Good location, the hotel circle is close to attractions and downtown
