Santa is a cultural and artistic paradise. There is so much to do and see. The amazing museums (especially on Museum Hill) really require more than a day each. They are replete with art, history, and information. We went during the Chamber Music festival and the quality of performances was beyond words- spectacular. The food, particularly our more "special" dinners, was also out-of-this world. Especially outstanding were Restaurant Martin and Ten-Thousand-Waves (Izanami ).
It also goes without saying that the scenery/natural landscape surrounding Santa Fe is beautiful. However, we were not aware what "July is monsoon season" really meant until we got hit by a huge hail/flooding/torrential rain storm just outside of Santa Fe on our way (driving) there. That was the worst thing we experienced. Thankfully it was very brief- but also scary. After that it rained the whole first night- but only a short time (maybe a half hour or so) during our other late afternoons/evening there. So after the initial "deluge" and first night, we were able to continue with all our plans as expected and everything was delightful/fantastic.
Finally, everything was easy to find and the city is just the right size such that most/many things were easily within walking distance for anyone in reasonably good health. It is just wise to stay informed about the weather conditions each day and watch the sky for potential rain.

We absolutely loved Sante Fe and plan to return.
We absolutely loved Sante Fe and plan to return. The architecture of the adobe houses was so beautiful! We went to Sante Fe opera, which was amazing! The shopping and restaurants downtown were wonderful, but look for the parking garage as parking is very full on the streets. We enjoyed the historic sites downtown as well. Highly recommend the Native American artisans at the Governor's Palace!! Everyone was extremely friendly! We went to the Sante Fe "forrest" were we saw cowboys roping cattle. The Audobon Society was a gorgeous place to see birds! The Botanical Garden was absolutely beautiful! We headed from Sante Fe to the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Monument Valley. What an unforgettable trip!! Can't wait to return!!

I’m a sculptor and I exhibit and sell my art at Art Santa Fe...
I’m a sculptor and I exhibit and sell my art at Art Santa Fe at the convention center. I attend the art show every year and we stay at a unit called ‘The Hobbitt House’ but we couldn’t get it this year. Took a chance on a Verbo home and we got burned and it ruined the entire art exhibit. The online pics were false and misleading. My wife and I have been married 30 years and we were married at The Loretto Chapel and consider Santa Fe a second home.
