Savannah is worth visiting, but DON'T do it in the HOT...

Savannah is worth visiting, but DON'T do it in the HOT summer months! The trolley was absolutely MISERABLE! We were all HOT and SWEATING! (No A/C on an open trolley car.). The River Cruise was okay (we brought our own snacks, so I can't comment on food), but WAY TO MUCH narration by someone who felt we needed to know every detail. We could have done with a lot more relaxing quiet. The music was good... not too loud, as is typical nowadays! Captain Derek's Dolphin Cruise down on Tybee Island is a must. We saw lots of dolphins and had a great time.

Savannah is a Southern gem that must be explored.

Savannah is a Southern gem that must be explored. Be sure to visit River Street and take in amazing views of the Savannah River, shop, eat, and people watch. We ate at Bootleggers on River Street, which was amazing...especially the drinks. Feel safe as you venture out away from River Street, to roam the streets of the historic district. You will be sure to hear music and laughter as you stroll under southern skies.

    Loved visiting Savannah!

Loved visiting Savannah! Be sure to book a sunset cruise on the Savannah River — it's a beautiful experience. Summers can be extremely hot, so dress accordingly. The downtown area is charming, and the food is delicious. If you're a history lover, you'll feel right at home here. And if you have the time, take a drive to Charleston — you won’t regret it!

We got a room with a king size bed.

We got a room with a king size bed. Ok, but the mattress was smaller than the bed frame so my friend got a big gash on her leg the probably could have used stitches. Went to the office and told the front desk clerk, "Sunny" what happened and she immediately gave us another room only to have to go back to the office, because there was no phone in the room, which was a handicap room, to have someone come to program the tv. Breakfast was awful. Only thing good was "Sunny", and she was amazing. Definitely won't stay here again.

The fountain at Forsyth Park has been removed for repairs.

The fountain at Forsyth Park has been removed for repairs. Savannah is a very nice place to visit with historic homes, squares, and a riverfront full of shops and restaurants. We preferred the homes and squares over the riverfront t shirt shops and restaurants ( but a few hours here are nice too) Really nice to roam about at night, it’s quieter and cooler too. There are forts and cemeteries to explore as well., and Tybee island is close by for a beach break.

This was a wonderful place to base for a few days in charming Savannah. We loved having a separate living area to relax in, as well as the generous bedroom - much more spacious than a hotelroom. It was very well equipped, and a bonus to have a washing machine and dryer too. It was pretty, comfortable and convenient to walk all around the historic area, with a few cute shops immediately nearby. We loved our stay.

Spacious, clean, gorgeous apartment in the middle of the action in downtown Savannah. We were so happy here and wanted to stay longer! The only negative was the sofa bed was not comfortable enough for an adult to sleep on. Kids fine though!
