Close to I-65 and within driving distance of attractions, including Louisville, Kentucky, this Scottsburg, Indiana hotel offers a free daily hot breakfast along with on-site tour desk services. The room was VERY clean and comfortable. It was quiet. The staff was very polite even when a customer was extremely rude and totally disrespectful to the desk personnel. He regarded that the room door was unsafe because the door did not open correctly. They tried to help him but he refused to listen. You just can't help some people. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel and plan to stay here again in the future. Breakfast was another bonus 😋
Located in Salem, The Destination B&B llc has free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a bar, a shared lounge and a garden. The place was surrounded by beautiful plants and nice antique farm implements. There was rocking chairs on the front porch and in the back where you could sit and relax while viewing the countryside. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. We also enjoyed watching the various animals nearby. Before we left Denise gave us a tour through their unique antique barn and group celebration area upstairs.
Featuring an on-site bar and indoor pool, this Salem hotel with free WiFi access is 15 minutes’ drive from the historic Becks Mill. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was great. One of the best hotel breakfasts we've had. Very happy with our stay. Would definitely stay again.
Located off Interstate 65 and near Highway 50, this Seymour hotel is a 4-minute drive from Shadowood Golf Course. It features spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi. Staff was professional & courteous,Ease of check-in, Room availability, nice room, Close proximity for parking.
We find restaurants that have a hot breakfast so we can eat a good meal & be on our way. Coffee maker not working, no fruit, no eggs or meat. They did have rolls & waffles & juice. Rest of the place was horrible, Looks like someone had a fight in our room and nothing was fixed.
After staying only a few days at Campbell's inn motel realized that their weekly rate didn't include breakfast that they force their way into your rooms everyday even if your still asleep to "clean" aka be nosy and then we had an emergency where we lost all our money and needed to leave and they refused a refund of any of the remainder of our trip because they force you to pay cash only for the weekly rate because in their fine print when for w cash you do not get refunded but don't bother to tell you this before you pay ! Was crappy the people that run it are rude and nosy and they con people will never be returning! They left me and my 8 year old daughter stranded w nothing thanks to their conartist weekly rate
We were just passing thru Scottsburg and too tired to continue driving. Saw poor reviews of hotel but decided to take a chance at Red Roof. Only room we could find. Don’t stay here! Small town with friendly people every else we stopped. Even other hotels we checked out that were full. Other travelers at red roof were friendly but also not happy with outside noise and their rooms either. Room was very dirty and smelled. Checked out after waking up sick and coughing from smell after an hour of sleep and discovered black bugs all over the floor. Would come back to Scottsburg but will probably never stay at another Red Roof Inn anywhere after this stay especially without asking to see the room first!
Really, if you aren't in a hurry, Scottsburg and Salem are interesting places to investigate for restaurants, resting from the high speed areas of Louisville and Indianapolis. It was like going back country, maybe 30 or more years ago. Great area to decompress, but I recommend that to partake in local activities that the traveler get tips from others whom have been or lived there. Scott County does not appear to be opening its arms to outsiders at this time, but that can change if more people need to kick back and recover from the busy city life. The mountain foothills are there, once you take a short ride west. The temperature is starting to be higher than the middle of Indiana, so that snow and ice are minimal in March.
Rented the suite and the suite is huge. Comes with 2 beds and a fold out bed in the living room. this hotel is right next to everything. It’s clean, good breakfast, and great customer service
Breakfast was better than most hotel breakfasts. The bed was comfortable. The chair w/ tray in room was very nice. Low key, very adequate stay
It was convenient to where I needed to. Easy to find but very poorly marked if I hadn’t known where it was I probably would of missed drive.
It was in a quiet area away from all the other hotels. it was beautifully updated and very clean
