The choice of food and beverage was excellent. We had a glacier kayaking and fishing trip both cancelled last minute. It would have been nice if their website had real time updates. Wanted to to see Sea Life Center just not enough time. The weather was are only drawback which I realize can’t predict. Just wish it had worked out.
I have a service dog. I am a Veteran. In Seward and at the Seward Hotel my service dog and I were made to feel as if we most unwelcome, that perhaps we should apologize for treading on their "sacred ground". I reported this to you and you sidestepped it. Unfortunately you do not have the courage to report issues honestly. I want to warn other Vets this is a dive and so forth. Get nasty and we'll talk legal issues.
I was very impressed with the cleanness of this older motel. Recently remodeled and had all the Amenities we needed for a short stay. Location was great! Easy walk to Marina and the Sea-life center. Armando was the only one working due to COVID-19 and did a great job multi tasking all duties. We will definitely be back to to little Motel next time we’re in Seward.
People were friendly and you can walk almost anyplace, once you get in town. The Ace Hardware/Fish House has almost anything you might need. J-Dock is the best for fishing. We brought home 154 pounds of filets and J-Dock prepared and packaged them for bringing home on the plane. We made several stops at Safeway for food and snacks. We ate at The Cookery...very good and FireBrand (Texas BarBQue) outside dining, also very good. The weather was sunny & mild until the day we left and then some rain. Adult grand kids (26 & 28 YO) did the Ididiride dogsled the morning we left (in the rain) and loved it. All in all, a great trip.
Seward is a beautiful quiet little town where the mountains meet the ocean. The people are super friendly. Scenery is breathtaking. The waterfalls are phenomenal wild life at every turn and the sealife center is great. Jimmy jack charters are amazing. Stores and shops are a little spendy but not to bad.
Seward is beautiful! Exit Glacier is in driving distance. There is a wonderful waterfront park that’s just a great walk for viewing the bay and seeing the ocean, mountains, and bald eagles flying around. You can pretty much walk the whole town in a day. People are friendly. The Alaska Sealife Center is fantastic, a must-see for anyone visiting.
