The town is deceiving. Driving down 17 youd think there's nothing around. Make a right turn there's everything you need stores restaurants and fuel. I'm really thinking of goinng back there for next years vacation. Just not at the hotel I stayed at.
Everything is a short distance to drive. Actually, at first, we thought it was far from everything but it was not. We were in the middle! The area looked a little run down, lots of trailers unkempt! The road to the house had a lot of potholes to go around. There were a lot of people getting ground ready for new homes, and remodeling older ones. People were friendly. The majority of those we met were from NC, spending July 4th down at the beach with family and friends! I prefer Holden Beach as it has not been commercialized like Ocean Isle, Myrtle Beach. We ate at the house mainly, because the kids are picky eaters! The marsh area where we stayed was on the Little Shallotte River and it was beautiful! We didn't enjoy the big cockroaches, or ants, crawling around, but it's nature! There were a few mosquitoes but where in the summer are you not going to find them? The kids had a great time!
Stop charging people $100 extra after they charter their room in actuality I spent $458 just to stay two nights with $100 return because she said they don’t rent to locals your head check-in manager I believe it was because the way I was dressed I’m originally from Charlotte I moved to Whiteville, North Carolina she said if I knew that we would not have been at your own because you’re not local I asked to speak to her supervisor to see was this true and in their policies she could not produce the information that I want I do not want to Argue with the manager so I gave her the hundred dollars to stay since I’ve already spent $358 for the room for two nights I will not go back I will not recommend you all to know when she was so disrespectful I really didn’t want to stay but since I’ve already paid $358 for the room she asked me to leave $100 deposit and just in case I have damages to the room she said the people from whiteville they have the most trouble With I will not go back because of that comment she told me because people do bad things from Whiteville did not appreciate that I will never go back because I was disrespected I’m not a violent person and I don’t believe in messing up other people stuff that they work hard for I work hard for mine I have my own business I have 24 years of management experienceI keep my house clean my mind clean my body Queen ❤️💕💍 I keep my house clean my mind clean my body clean In my room is clean.
Shallotte was 40 minutes away from N Myrtle Beach, where we last stayed. We were minutes away from Ocean Isle Beach, which was nice. Food and other accommodations wear nearby and we had access to all we could need or ask for. A few fast food places including the Waffle House within walking distance, though the hotel itself is tucked away from highway and offers privacy. Would definitely stay here again.
The town of Shallotte was a beautiful place, would love to visit again but just stay in another property (other than Days Inn Shallotte.) We enjoyed the very sweet locals, the shopping, scenery, restaurants had excellent food. Would recommend taking a long weekend trip to the town.
Good stay for overnight travelers except for the expensive cost of room per night and the excessive credit hold on rooms per night which wasn't disclosed prior to stay for incidentals and cleaning, We stayed 2 nights and I had to take out own trash each day after having to work night shift not very convenient. Don't stay in room 101 next to ice machine, very noisy and operated poorly runs to long stays out of ice leaks water in floorway of main corridor.
The hotel was totally, clean and comfortable. However, it was the two ladies at the front desk that made the place amazing. The lady thar checked us in and the lady that checked us out. Oh my so so pleasant and professional!
The place had a awful smell that gave you a very bad headache....we did not even stay our whole stay had to book a hotel. The couch that it shows in the picture is not there. Definitely false advertising.
It was about on par for what I expected for a basic hotel room. The room was spacious and had all the essentials including a fridge. It was about 15 minutes from Ocean Isle Beach.
Friendly desk clerk & personnel; pet friendly; reasonably priced; nice grassy area for dog to do her thing
