I really enjoyed my time in Ashland. The city’s twinkling lights on rooftops during the winter nights create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Staying at the Winchester Inn for two days was a delightful surprise. Highlight was breakfast. A chance to visit with our hosts and other guests. Hosts were friendly, fun and helpful. Food was amazing. I had forgotten to tell them I'm veggie and they pivoted in a second, even while accommodating another guest's gluten intolerance. Two course breakfast on the deck with fresh, local ingredients and delicious. They'll share their recipes! Room was warm and immaculately clean. Place felt just like I want a B&B to feel -- inviting and cozy.

I have stayed there before a couple of times -- always excellent and comfortable. (I wish I'd had time to enjoy the pool and hot tub on this visit.) The location on the main road leading into Ashland makes it easy to find, and was perfect for my meeting just a few blocks in the other direction. With the supermarket right across the street, it's easy to pick up snacks and save a little money (so you can splurge on dinners). I've stayed there before when attending plays, and it's easy to walk or drive to the theater, with some nice restaurants along the way. I was impressed by the breakfast offerings (and by the staff who monitored the food/supplies/cleanup).
