TELLURIDE IS AN AMAZING LITTLE TOWN WITH A COOL VIBE! EVERYONE IS VERY FRIENDLY AND THERE IS AN ABUNDANT CHOICE OF GOOD RESTAURANTS AND MANY SHOPS. WE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ALL THE GREAT HIKING TRAILS WITH WATERFALLS AND SWIMMING HOLES. ANOTHER GREAT FEATURE IS THE GONDOLA OVER THE MOUNTAIN! DO IT DURING THE DAY AND NIGHT!
I had never been to Telluride and was looking forward to the visit. A bit disappointed. Except for one bar where the staff was very nice (I truly wish I could remember it's name to give them props) the shop owners and people there are pretentious and unfriendly. Telluride is very impressed with Telluride. Not really a place for people who do not hike or ski every day. I guess I was expecting more shops and fun restaurants. There were four pizza places located within a two block section. Just not what I expected.
Great place and we live in Vail!!! strong House brewery looks like a great place when it opens. The Bakery great as usual. Took the gondola up to the village which was fun. But we prefer the original town
Full of tourists and expensive. Yes, it's a very pretty mountain town. However, in the summer it is jam-packed with tourists and the prices sky rocket. Be ready for lines for coffee, food, drinks and the gondola. Be ready for $20 basic mixed drinks in the ski village and similar prices in town. Dining is expensive! It's a town of very wealthy people.
Awesome mountain town with lots of outdoor activities. We enjoyed the new Bike Park during our first get-a-way to Telluride. The resort boasts a steep mountain which plays nicely into construction of a fun and exhilarating bike park -- everything from flowing greens, to blues with lots of jumps, to blacks that challenge not only your skills but your nerves, the Telluride bike park has it all. We have ridden primarily at Trestle Bike Park in Winter Park, CO, and the Telluride Bike Park is definitely more challenging, requires more nerve, and definitely a mountain bike designed for downhill riding -- could possibly ride a hard tail or cross / trail bike, but you are going to get beat up on these trails with those type of bikes. The scenery and temperature was just AMAZING -- if summer outdoor adventures (Mountain Biking, Hiking, Fishing, Camping, 4X4[ing], Photography, Historical Site Exploration, etc.) then Telluride is your destination. My son and I are already planning our return trip, and will definitely be adding it to our Winter Get-A-Way options!!
This is a little cute town. A hidden gem into nature. There are so many things to do during the summer or winter. We loved the hikes to the blue lakes and we also got engaged there. This part of Colorado will be forever in our memories.
Telluride
This was an awesome place to experience. My mother who is in the beginning stages of Alzheimers had an awesome time even knowing this might be her last trip to a place like this and to Colorado. Thank you for making the stay awesome.
