Great location. Close to shops in Southwest Harbor and able to walk to Beal’s Lobster Pier for dinner. Very quiet area and we enjoyed the hot tub on a cool morning. We also loved the little porch off of our room to sit outside and watch the sailboats go by.

Cabins were even nicer than we realized they would be - and we thought they would be great. The owners thought of everything and were very accommodating and helpful. Since they are from the area, they know literally everything and have valuable tips and tricks for almost any topic on what to see and do.

Perfect location. The hotel and grounds were quite charming and decorated so thoughtfully. Everyone we encountered at the Bass Cottage & Ullikana went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. The manager on duty was so kind with our family, he made sure our short stay was perfect with extra bedding and the comforts of home. Breakfast was delicious!

EVERYYYYTHING was splendid. First of all, Chris, the innkeeper, is a ray of welcoming sunshine. Second, the breakfasts were amazing & delicious! They were not standard by any means, & we looked forward to breakfast. Third, the amenities are so thoughtful: tea time; leftover treats from breakfast or tea time get wrapped up & come in handy for hikes; cleanliness; the outdoor facility; & live music. The property is convenient, & we enjoyed our morning & evening walks into central Bar Harbor for dinner & lunch. BTW, don’t be put off by the 2 rooms that have detached bathrooms. The bathroom is still private. It’s just across the hall from the room, & in fact, I loved that our detached bathroom had this wonderful separate sitting area with a couch. It came in handy when one of us was napping or sleeping in—the other went into the sitting area to read. My only complaint is that we did not stay long enough! I can’t wait to return.

    Exceptional does not begin to describe this property. Is it a beautifully constructed and secluded cabin mirroring the owner’s memory of her childhood home on the West Coast of Ireland. Imaginatively furnished, it is the best equipped rental in which I have ever stayed. Far from the hustle and bustle but close to all of the major attractions: Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, the Schoodic National Scenic Byway, Frenchman’s Bay and so much more.
