It felt wonderfully off-grid, with beautiful skies at night and the sense that you were really living in the forest. The property itself was simple but beautiful, blending right into its surroundings. Bass, the host we dealt with, was extremely pleasant — friendly, helpful, and full of good advice for our stay. The room had everything we needed, and the location was perfect for exploring the Grand Canyon.

This location is not a walkable neighborhood for any of the hotels sited there. It's simply a strip of hotels along the highway. But it's cheaper than staying at the South Rim. Even then, it's not inexpensive. There is a Starbucks nearby, for food-on-the-go but expect long lines at popular times. Because Tusayan is outside the park gates, there is usually a line to show your park pass, or buy one. During Spring Break week we were in an hour-long line, even with three booths open in order to just get in the park. Bring your patience because parking in the South Rim, and at many of the pull-outs can be very difficult.

This is location is very convenient to the park, and has necessary service like gas, food, coffee, and lodging, plus one or two extras like and IMAX theater with canyon movies. I think the town developed for the sole purpose of providing overflow park lodging

It's a perfect place to stay to visit the canyon and usually cheaper, but there are some really nice hotels too. There are several eating places. There could be more, but what is here is fine. A variety of choices.

We spent three full days in the Grand Canyon area in early November. Chilly nights, comfortable days, end of fall color, and not too many visitors (although the government shutdown may have had something to do with that). Those working (and especially the non-profit organizations such as the Grand Canyon Conservancy) worked hard to keep things running. Hats off to everyone! No surprise that dining options are limited and prices on the high side - this is a very out-of-the-way place; however, the food and service were good. We've visited Grand Canyon several times over the years and it never disappoints, especially if you get out put some miles on your boots.

It's a basic hotel but very close to the entrance of the south rim. Staff and breakfast very good. Enjoyed seeing Elk every evening as they appear to come from the woods and are used to being around people

The hotel is located close to the entrance to the Grand Canyon NP. There is a little ‘town’ of hotels, restaurants, a grocery store etc all within walking distance (or a very short drive). The rooms are spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast selection was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the range of fresh fruit. There is a little shop off the lobby that sells sandwiches, fruit and other convenience foods.

Ideally located with great services to and from the Grand Canyon South Rim. Well appointed hotel with a gift shop, gym and pool. Large restaurant proving a wonderful (if a little expensive) breakfast. The reception staff were very helpful. Tusayan is a small town with plenty of dining choices but the steakhouse at the hotel was excellent

Great hotel, with good facilities. Staff all extremely helpful. Good location and close to restaurants in town; close to Grand Canyon National Park. Complimentary breakfast included in the price was good, although options a little limited for gluten-free diet.

It’s very close Grand Canyon south entrance, when we finished our hiking, just 10mins drive to hotel. The hotel’s food is delicious, especially one half roasted chicken, my kids love it.
