Really helpful visitor centre. Interesting historic town on Route 66. Grand Canyon Railroad trip to Grand Canyon is jewel in the crown. Good choice of restaurants and Bearizona worth a visit. Nearby forest trail walks.
Good place between amazing parks in Arizona. If you travel from Grand Canyon to Petrified Forest, I recommend you to spend night in Flagstaff. Nice city, a lot of good restaurants around, nice and cheap hotels. People are so nice there.
Arizona Sonora desert museum is wonderful. Recommend docent tour. Allow at least 2_3 hours. San Xavier del Bac Mission beautiful and worth the drive, Sabino Canton a nice walk, take shuttle to top and walk down. It was hot when we were there. Pima Air museum interesting.
We stayed in Tucson in order to visit the Kartchner Caverns. We chose the south east corner which was quite easy for travel to Benson area. Before we left, we visited several birding sights. The Sweetwater Preserve provided us with an enjoyable birding experience. Tucson was also handy for our next destination. We would like to return in order to see both the Biodome and the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum as well as the Pima Air and Space Museum.
Beautiful scenery. The surrounding hills are incredible. Downside is it’s popularity is becoming its downfall. The main road through Sedona (89a) is becoming dangerous to cross with only a few cross walks along it. The risk is that it’s going to divide the town into two halves with a lot of restaurants on one side with shopping on the other. Also not keen on the touristy street downtown which feels tacky and full of cheap souvenirs for day trippers. I’ve been visiting Sedona for over 35 years and it could do with deciding where it’s heading in the future. Up market or day trippers or both. It felt like a town with two sections. One downtown for the day trippers and one for the residents. Not ideal for people who want to stay for longer period. Despite this, it’s still an incredibly beautiful location with nothing like it anywhere in the world. Arizona is one of the most beautiful states in the USA.
We were here for a baseball tournament at Sloan Park. WOW! We are Canadian and had never been to Arizona before. We loved it. Impressed with scenery and how clean Mesa (Tempe and Sedona) were.
The weather was great especially coming from Canada this time of year. There is a large Mexican influence which ads to the experience. Cactus, desert and great weather! I was there for work and very busy; I would stay and see more of Phoenix and Arizona if I had a chance.
Sedona a jewel set in the crown of Arizona. We had wonderful views from the Sky Ranch Lodge of the Coffee Pot Rock during sunset. The town has a very relaxed atmosphere with plenty of restaurants and cafe.
An ideal place if you are interested in Route 66. Plenty of places to eat for a small town. Bearizona is worth a visit just 5 mins from centre of town and reasonably priced.
Winter go to see The Duttons perform at the high school. Rest of the year they perform at Branson, MO. Family friendly show. Exciting fun variety performance. Amazing. They love military families. God bless America. Also webt to Superstition mountain. Old west museum, church from Elvis movie. Excellent walking around old west area with gift shops. Go to Mesa, Arizona for good old fashioned family fun. Hikers love area of superstition mountain. Great for mobility impaired and mountain climbers hikers too. Fun place, very surprising. Definitely go to THE DUTTONS

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's much bigger inside than it looks outside, and there's a pretty nice hostel type feeling to it. Also, we reserved three different rooms over five days there, and the staff was very helpful with that both by email and in person, and actually moved our things to the different rooms each day so we could get off to an earlier start to the Grand Canyon. It was cool to stay in the oldest hotel in Arizona, right in Route 66 and Williams' retro-cool downtown.

Great location in Williams Arizona. It was in the downtown area. It was a stepping stone to the Grand Canyon. It was a small motel run by a family that was friendly. It was basic, no breakfast which was fine with us because there were numerous restaurants within walking distance. It was clean, had a fridge and microwave etc. which was fine for a night or two. Again, many restaurants in the area which was much nicer than a basic continental breakfast by the hotel/motel.

pretty good located hotel: 1. 1-2 mile away from restaurants (we found one really nice chineese restaurant and second one was Ocotillo) and something like 1/2 mile away from safeway, 1/4 away from walgreens. 2. Far away (but not too far-far away) from highway, so it's quiet over there, but easy to back on the road, 3. Not far away from museums. I actually booked that hotel twice - we decided to stay in the same hotel on the way back from Arizona.

We moved to this modest hotel after two fabulous days at the Arizona Biltmore, expecting disappointment after such luxury, but it has been great. Lovely pool with plenty of loungers, big, clean room with microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board. Staff are delightful and friendly. Hotel very conveniently situated in centre of Scottsdale. Breakfast provided though we didn't eat it. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Great value for money.

The bed was very comfortable, most comfy bed I've stayed in at a hotel. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We needed an early check in to attend a wedding and they were great about getting us into a room promptly. The room was a good size with a nice divider between the bed and sofa and a great little kitchen area. Best room we stayed in during our trip around Arizona! Husband loved the pool and hot tub!

The hotel is ideally placed for a visit to Tombstone, the site of the notorious Gunfight at the OK Corral. Our room was large, clean and fitted with all the equipment one needs, and offered a good view of the mountains in the distance. There is a nice swimming pool which is a great plus as temperatures can be very high in this part of southern Arizona

The atmosphere was great! The rooms are very comfortable and super clean. The rooms are a great size as well. The evening reception or happy hour is such a bonus and nice touch! The hotel is also in a great location close to restaurants and shopping. As well its easy to hit the interstate from here and head to all the great places Arizona has to offer!

We love that the hotel is part of the old route 66 and the staff was very nice and helpful. It is not too far from the city center and was perfect for us since we were headed to Bearizona. The rooms were cozy and the beds slept really well. If you have pillow problems I would recommend bringing your own just in case.

The hotel was located less than 5minutes walk from the Grand Canyon train station and a couple of minutes more to the centre of Williams. We like Williams a lot, great to walk around the town and the "Route 66 loop" and it is also fairly close to "Bearizona" which is worth a visit

We stayed here at the end of our trip to Arizona when we had an early morning flight back home. This location is extremely close to the airport and they run a shuttle from the hotel to the airport every hour. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the value was excellent.

more than what we expected from a hotel in a small town in Arizona. truly, the American mountain side hotel experience:) lovely surroundings, everything in the room was new, lovely design, comfortable bed. we even used the washer/dryers next door at a very low price (2.5 usd each)

The room was very confortable. It has a desk for computer and work during the day. The hotel is located 2 blocks from the train-rail (one station to downtown), and 5-6 blocks (walkable distance) to downtown Phoenix (convention center, arizona center)

This is a top of the line hotel. Quiet but lively. Matress, soap, linen, rug, everything is absolutely quality stuff. If one day we come back in Arizona we will make sure to stay there again.
