Located just off the Redwood Highway, Motel 6 Ukiah, Ca - North features an outdoor swimming pool. Each guest room offers access to a balcony. The best hotel from Ukiah, and we take a look at 3 others. others were too small or had no view from the window. The quality of sleep. It's number one in every hotel. Here is pretty far from the freeway and no car sounds disturbed. Surrounded by mountains and many rooms available to see them all around. Very clever planning of rooms and beds, a real kitchen with all necessary to cook for a big family. Stove, microwave, and fridge. The swimming pool was open till late, without any stupid explanations like "we close due covid", just open from early morning till late. The water was a bit cold, but we did a short refreshing swim. It was the cheapest of all the other hotels around, but we try to find the best one, in the price range on weekends for 100-160$, more expensive hotels have obviously smaller rooms with fewer things included. They include breakfast but for us is easy to go to Costco and buy everything we like to breakfast there. Motel 6 sadly has no tea kettles but we have always owned a kettle with us.

Ukiah is a small agricultural town on the Redwood Highway. The area grows wine grapes and pears. The downtown has the courthouse as its center and creates a less than appealing comfort. Homeless people and drug addicted people abound in all areas. We have eaten at the Thai food place in the north area of town and it was very nice, food was good. Black Oak coffee is a nice stop: great coffee. Ukiah natural foods co-op is worth the stop with a very nice deli area.
Agricultural town with history: wine country and pear growing. The downtown is inviting to walk and shop. I am not sure about the vibrancy because there weren't many people walking around. Nice coffee shop at Black Oak Coffee and good beer at Ukiah Brewing. On this visit, whether it was the heat or agriculture, the flies were every where. It was noticeable, the Starbucks on Airport Boulevard and inside the Brewery. Easy town to drive around in. There is a very nice Natural Foods Coop across the street from Safeway on Gobbi Street.
My friends needed a place to stay for two days. I booked them a room for a night. They refused to stay there because that was the place they had been staying but left because the room had bedbugs. I canceled the reservation but was never given a refund or credit.
We easily found our wedding venue/easily found Old Town, Kohls, and a Mass a beautiful Catholic Church, We enjoyed touring the town park and golf course the town plaza and farmers market and found a beautiful coffee spot right off the town plaza,
I've stayed at many motels that were a whole lot worse than this motel. I do have to say this motel 6 rates (in my opinion) a one-star motel. I would NOT recommend this motel 6 as one for a stay. I totally understand that there are going to some sort of flaw about a motel, but when you find only 3 out of 10 good things about a motel that's not good. This motel is definitely NOT a place to stay with your child. Roaches and dirty linens are the worst in my opinion. There have to be better motels in Ukiah, CA.
Ukiah is a lovely town. Unfortunately where the hotel is located is in a little rougher part of Ukiah. I liked that there are different locations for food choices and didn’t have to drive to far! I will definitely be returning and referring family and friends to explore with me in the future!!!
Breakfast was sparse. Cereal, granola bars, packaged danishes. Good selection of teas. Apples and tangerines available. The fruit was not fresh. Apples were bruised and soft. Yogurt was available. The room was nicely laid out and modern and new looking. We liked the shutters on the windows in our room. We also enjoyed the pool. The pool water was quite cold so it took a while to get used to. The hotel is close to the downtown area.
For a mid-range hotel, the room was extremely large - perhaps because we requested handicap accessible. As I'm recovery from a broken ankle, the extra space in the main room was appreciated, though the bathroom was relatively small. The floors were nice and new, and the room was quiet.
Looking for a comfortable bed and big TV, this is it. The hotel has many environmental eco-green awards and participation plaques. I appreciated this. Quiet room with a couch and computer desk. Very nice. Room was very clean and hotel was clean.
It's a Beautiful, brand new hotel. It's designed to be clean and comfortable. The lobby attracts groups of people to sit and hang out to talk, watch tv or eat. The parking lot felt safe, and secure. It's pet friendly, and no smoking!
This was a new and very clean hotel. Staffs were friendly and kind. The hotel lets the customer borrow kitchen items like mug cups and plates etc. on the request bases. Downtown Ukiah was only 5 minutes away by car.
Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel was a little away from "down town" but this wasn't a big problem. Breakfast was simple but good quality.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff was very accommodating and helpful, the breakfast was good.
clean. nicely furnished spacious relative to budget hotels
Nothing very dirty and nasty worse motel 6 I have been to
I liked the city ukiah
