The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The fine dining restaurant in the property was overpriced and the seafood was not fresh. However, I did enjoy the lamb but the potatoes were undercooked. At the bar, we had chowder for lunch, it was oily, watery and under seasoned. The bartender saw my displeasure and immediately removed it, with his apologies. He did not charge us for it. All the staff from the front desk to the servers were friendly and kind. The room was clean and comfortable and appeared to have been recently updated.

The area is wonderful, scenic and prestine.
The area is wonderful, scenic and prestine. Lots of opportunities to be with Mother Nature - outdoors sports and great eats are available especially at the Omni Mt. Washington. Bretton Woods is perfect for skiiing / downhill and cc, Although you have to hunt for them, there are nice small restaurants located throughout the area. Highly recommend Whitefield Pub and Inn; also Grandma’s Kitchen! Can’t imagine anyone visiting the area without a car - the area is just too vast not to have one.

This is a small town and made a great overnight stop when travelling from Maine to Montreal by car. But there was not much of interest in the town, other than its proximity to Mt Washington. Perhaps if visiting in winter for a ski holiday it would be a good base camp. The Inn at Whitefield was terrible.

The Town doesn't have a lot of amenities, but there are several restaurants that are good. Littleton and Lancaster are not far away. If you are looking to get away from urban civilization this is a good spot.
