Wilmington is beautiful and have a lot to offer.

Wilmington is beautiful and have a lot to offer. But make sure you pick a good hotel because it makes a world of difference. I choose Baymont because of the name and was disappointed. It was more like a Motel 6.

The handicap accessible room with the beds and shower!

The handicap accessible room with the beds and shower! We ate at Texas roadhouse which was excellent for my husband's birthday and drove to Myrtle Beach the next day for Red Lobster. We rode out to the pier and hung out for a couple of hours. It was so nice!

I was quite frustrated that as a tourist I was unaware that dogs were prohibited from the beach. There were no signs stating such anywhere on the boardwalk or beaches either. We noticed there were hardly any dogs on the beach and pondered. We were informed by a local that we could be fined for having our dog there. We came here specifically to bring our elderly dog to the beach. So this really was not in the plan. Luckily your staff told me nearby pet friendly alternatives so our trip was not ruined. This is terrible for a tourist town to not advertise this. I found conflicting info on the internet. But always saw dogs all around town when we visited here so assumed it was all dog friendly. Not the case for June apparantly.

We love to visit Wilmington.

We love to visit Wilmington. We have family there and it is a wonderful place to find something for all ages. The history is interesting. The food is amazing. The shopping is wonderful. There is always something to do, even if you are on a budget friendly trip. There are certain places we visit every time and we are also able to always find something new. All the stars!

We saw the Toy Factory Project Band at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater. One of the better shows I've been to. The venue was nice,a lot of tree's and a cool breeze blowing. Beers were $15 ,never liked what Live Nation venues charge for refreshments. But they continue to keep their prices high, and it seems like the towns and cities that they are in don't really care. But it's a nice venue, and I would choose to take in a show there during my one concert a year choice. We did a E-Bike brewery tour that was really fun. We went too the beach twice, and ate dinner at a place with a nice ocean view.

Wilmington was a lovely, charming town.

Wilmington was a lovely, charming town. There is a lovely Riverwalk boardwalk and a marina for all the sailors. The town is very historic and also has a lovely relaxed vibe about it. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We hired a car from RDU airport and it was a straightforward drive on the Interstate all the way to Wilmington. It's quite easy to navigate and downtown Wilmington is very walkable. Lots of dining options there and lots of bars. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits at the Dixie Grill for breakfast. Every meal we had in Wilmington was of excellent quality. Downtown is very lively on a Saturday night but we always felt safe. Lots of beautiful beaches nearby, there is something for everyone in Wilmington. Also I have to mention the staff at Raleigh-Durham airport, both land and airside were so lovely. We truly experienced Southern hospitality in North Carolina.

Location was idea for Wilmington. The property was decorated to a high standard, very comfortable, spacious and clean. Jeff the host had obviously gone to a lot of trouble to ensure that everything was in order, there was nothing missing. It was like a home from home! We would return without question next time we are staying in Wilmington.

It is an absolute superlocation and so nicely located downtown. A good bar and great garden. Staff is nice and helpful. We had a great breakfast at Veranda b&b nearby. If you like a hotel with charm this is the place.
