United StatesOur wonderful hosts, Bill and Michele, provided a great experience with their attention to detail and the excellent breakfasts Bill provided. Their place was close to Mt. Baker, which we thoroughly enjoyed hiking around. We loved getting to know our hosts as well as all their extended family of pets!

IsraelAmazing place, everything is comfortable, clean and there are all the facilities you could want for, nice hot tub and sauna, a large pool, very nice breakfast, friendly staff. Nice location, near hardware store and general store, quite close to the town of Winthrop.

Czech RepublicVery friendly and nice stuff, they let us check-in two hours earlier. Table and microwave in the room were really nice as well as coffee maker with good coffee. Breakfast exceeded our expectations, yogurt, fresh waffles, fruit, bagels, cream cheese, orange juice. We could leave our backpacks in after check out. Overall a great place to stay for very reasonable price :)

The Sun Mountain Resort was amazing and beautifully situated...
The Sun Mountain Resort was amazing and beautifully situated and a fully equipped resort for families and couples. We highly recommend the Blue Lake Hike which is only a short 45 minute drive from the resort. An absolute must!!!!!

It was the wrong time of year to come, a lot of the place...
It was the wrong time of year to come, a lot of the place were closed or closed early. I think it would of been a lot more fun if it was in the summer. It is a cute town and all the people were very nice.

I have made dozens of trips to Winthrop in the last few...
I have made dozens of trips to Winthrop in the last few decades. An extremely quiet town right now with Hwy 20 closure, very low tourist activity, I'm sure many shops and restaurants are suffering from the temporary highway closure. The late spring weather was absolutely gorgeous

Winthrop is always evolving, foot bridges, ice rinks, a sense of community.
My wife and I rode through Winthrop on a bicycle trip in the early 90's, and have come back every couple years since.

I always enjoy passing through Winthrop...it is a small town...
I always enjoy passing through Winthrop...it is a small town with touristy shops and a small river running through it. Also, there is the lake just outside of town. Some of my ancestors lived here, so I spent time here as a child.

Winthrop is a cute little western town!
Winthrop is a cute little western town! We got lucky and happened upon Steak Special Night at 3 Fingered Jacks Saloon, perfect after a long day of hiking! Shari’s ice cream was delicious for dessert. Great little spot.

All staff and the owner were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. The owner was in the kitchen making breakfast himself. The lobby was still full at 9:50 when breakfast ends at 10 and he stocked every option up completely so people could continue to eat past the end time. This was really impressive to me as usually everything is pulled or completely empty by the time a hotel ends continental breakfast. Definitely shows what kind of people are running the Abby Creek Inn.

It was cosy and clean and quiet.
We had dinner at Arrowleaf a short walk away. Otherwise it was a short drive to main street for more food options.
There is a free 5km run at the Trailhead every Saturday morning. (Winthrop Trailhead parkrun). This is a short walk from the cabin.
A convenient breakfast is offered with lovely homemade cakes.
