From the Erie Canal days to world famous bronze sculptures connected ya bridge shaped like a Y in the middle of a river. Good place to stop. As part of the "rust Belt," Zanesville suffers from the plight of most urban areas, looks a little worn. Still the 2 day stay was great, enlightening and fun.

Zanesville had everything anyone could want.
Zanesville had everything anyone could want. Interesting shops and the big box stores. It has small mom and pop restaurants ( Tom's Ice Cream) and large food chains. Beautiful countryside and fun farmers market with charming vendors. The best of all a 10,000 acer unique open air zoo ( The Wild). Zanesville was an interesting find a place I will return.

We booked the wingate to stay near a dance competition that our daughter Was competing in. We drove an 1.5 hours to get there only to be told our room was given away due to over booking. No heads up notice prior to arrival. Poor business practice.

We went there to re-visit places remembered from years ago, my father was raised in the Crooksville area. The Y Bridge, Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl, and the beautiful rolling hills were just as I recalled. “The Wilds” was a great experience, we’ll worth the drive 😎

If I had to choose a place to have vehicle trouble, Zanesville would be one those places. We were only going to stay at a hotel and move on, but with vehicle issues, we had to adjust our plans a little bit. Monro Muffler was exceptionally helpful for us. Jae’s towing company was great, and the Zanesville Hampton Inn was excellent!

Zanesville has more to offer than one might initially assume. Be sure to to make the Headley Inn your spot to hunker down. It's comfortable and beautiful- hosts are attentive and very friendly. Numerous artists live in Zanesville- some are world reowned. Stop by and visit Alan Cottrill's sculpture studio. Then take a boat ride and cap the end of the day with a beer at The Weasel Boy Brewing Company.

The location was CLEAN! I mean CLEAN! The staff was super friendly! There was some difficulty in my first room, and they switched me without any trouble. The vending machine actually had some really good things in it! (I mean not any reason to stay at a hotel, but for sure a plus for the late night snack eater in me). The beds were super comfortable! The mini fridge was big for a mini fridge, and there was a microwave! Which was a great touch considering I spent my thanksgiving in a hotel room. I would defiantly stay again.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. First time Ive had the room cleaned during a stay since Covid times started. It was nice to come back to a clean room with towels. The week before our stay here I stayed in a hotel in Pittsburg for over a week and had to ask three times to even get my room cleaned once and paid over twice the rate Loved the 6am breakfast start. We were there for a rowing Regatta and had to be at the lake by 7am. Very nice to have a hot breakfast before we left.
