FAQs about hotels in Ho Chi Minh City

Asian Tradition, French Flair and Growing Modernity

With delicious Vietnamese aromas, small silk shops and ancient pagodas, the streets of Ho Chi Minh City dazzle tourists with their vibrant atmosphere. Its rich culture includes beautiful French colonial palaces mixed with modern skyscrapers that show the power of Vietnam’s economic capital.

Whether you decide to visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the City Hall, or the Municipal Theater, you’ll see the care shown by Saigonese people in preserving their historic legacy. On the other hand, the Haussmann-style boulevards are typically packed with small motorcycles that make every street crossing a whole new experience.

Contemporary Saigon can be seen in places like the Bitexco Financial Tower, located directly at central Ham Nghi Blvd. Meanwhile, Saigon Center or Zen Plaza are some of its modern shopping malls.

For a look into Vietnam’s recent history, don’t miss the Reunification Palace or the War Remnants Museum. A sunset visit to the 23rd September Park is the best way to mingle with the locals.

Indulge yourself in one of the 5-star Ho Chi Minh hotels, or stay in a budget hotel at Pham Ngu Lao Street. Don’t miss the Ho Chi Minh City accommodations on Booking.com before arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport!

Three maybe four days is ideal.

Three maybe four days is ideal. Time to view the sights, go to Cu Chi tunnels and museum [both a must do], do a street food tour, visit a few roof top bars, find a few secret bars, eat at a couple of good restaurants as well as a few small street foodie places, go find a coffee corner and check out the markets, there are a few. Use GRAB to get around or just walk.

    I absolutely hated it.

I absolutely hated it. Traffic is horrendous and people were extremely rude. All they see when they look at the white person is 💰 🤑. Tney don't care about anything else. Go up North instead, much better! The airport was so busy it's ridiculous. Never again.

    Wow! It's all happening here.

Wow! It's all happening here. I was told it was going to be hectic (or "mad"), and it sure was. It's busy, there's so much to see and lots to do. But it can be just as relaxing if you want it to be. In District 1 where I spent the majority of my time, there are beautiful, peaceful parks and amazing cultural attractions, as well as a large market, lots of shops & restaurants, and easy access to other "must see" destinations such as Saigon River, Bitexco Tower and Bui Vien (Walking Street). You can walk to all of these, admiring all the wonderful choices for somewhere to eat along the way.

Huge city. Great being divided into sectors Incredible traffic but flows well Interesting, diversified, cultural, lots of history, easy to get about- taxi's, hop on hop off bus, personal driver and walking. Not game enough to try scooters here. Found a range of food outlets with Vietnamese and European foods, as well as street foods. A bit more expensive than Hoi An and Phuquoc. Pays to wander about to sus out prices Great to do tours from Chi Cu Tunnels, was really worth doing. Museums, etc

    Saigon is a great city!

Saigon is a great city! The food, the people, the hustle and bustle is everything a tourist with a few days to spare is looking for. The city is easy to navigate and the attractions are plentiful and close enough to walk. I enjoyed eating at the various restaurants - Sushi Tei, CheongDam Korean BBQ and Sushi and Gogi House. Spent copious hours i Ben Thanh Market getting measured for clothing - Ha Fashion (Shop 265) did an amazing Ao Dai Dress for me and Vai and May Thoi Trang (Shope 296) made me amazing silk trousers. Both were professional and their clothes fit to perfection - added bonus of having them delivered to me at the hotel (same day). If you want to know more about the history of Vietnam before and after the American invasion, I recommend you visit you the reunification museum, the Cu Ci tunnels and the War Remnants Museum. Saigon is a beautiful city with such friendly people. Well worth a visit!

As in every asian city the pavements are a diffult negotiation; but the sights sounds and businesses are there for you to see, inspect and experience. Enjoy. It can be hot hot hot. The older history of the place is not quite as accesible as post World war but it is there. The Ho Chi Minh Museum is of the city not the President, and seems to have changed location, but is a good visit if you then take a city tour you will be well grounded in the place. The shoe shine boys that want to repair your shoes are a scamin waiting and a pest but all other offers are endurable. Take care for the ladies of Late Night Pasteur street.

The hotel is just opposite of Saigon tower and very close to the walking street and Saigon river in District 1. It is decorated with an antique theme, I really liked the wooden furniture, I booked this hotel because of the antique theme it is decorated with. The reception area is awesome, aesthetically decorated. The room was very big on the sixth floor. The breakfast was awesome, the staff were very polite and respectful.
