+ the location is great, quiet in the middle of the jungle with a perfect view towards Mt.Yasur + the treehouse is really cozy and beautiful + it even has a toilet and a balcony + bed is comfy with mosquito net + the whole area is clean and nicely built + also the bungalow looks comfy with a cool veranda and amazing views towards the volcano + breakfast is included and delicious + dinner is plenty, delicious and well priced + the owner Mike and his family are superfriendly and helpful + they offer different transport options or tours + the overall price is really cheap for what you get

Phillip and Suzanne are wonderful hosts. They made sure we had everything we need for a comfortable stay. Since we are vegetarians and had informed them about it beforehand, Suzanne took the effort to prepare us really tasty and healthy food using local veggies. Phillip accompanied us to a custom dance show at Imayo village and shared stories of the island and the people in the villages. The proximity to Mt Yasur and the experience of staying in a tree house with the view of the mountain was exceptional!! Highly recommend staying with this lovely family!!

What a great surprise this find is, staying with a local community and eating the traditional food ,only 25mins walk to a private beach and 10min walk to the ash fields . Here the rumble of the mountain like its a distant thunder storm. The kids will show you around with great enthusiasm. And all being close to the volcano and hot springs and the hosts will arrange any other activities and transports needed , This is the real deal don't miss out . Ps look after Max well we will return .

William, Tom (our driver) and William's family were exceptional hosts! Tom drives carefully and skilfully over very rough roads. You can hear the rumble of Mt Yasur from your accommodation, and it is only a 20min drive away. William organised a diverse and flexible tour itinerary for me at a very fair price - even snorkelling at Whitegrass and visiting Tanna Coffee after check-in when my flight was delayed by 3h. The accommodation is 1h 30min from the airport and the main tourist strip, but you get the chance to observe life in the villages of Tanna. Accommodation is basic, but it is comfortable and William provides solar lights and a battery at night to charge your devices, and even WIFI on request.

Boasting a bar, Rocky Ridge Bungalows is set in Tanna Island. With garden views, this accommodation provides a balcony. The holiday home has family rooms.

Simple en suite bungalows close to the airport overseen the ocean. En suite bathrooms with running water and flush toilets - this is not always the case on Tanna! 2 minutes walk to blue hole 2 (fantastic snorkelling!). Good to stay here if on a budget and do the volcano tour from here.

Nothing feels “chain hotel” here. John and Silvana are always there, checking in, helping guests, making sure you’re good. Staff are the same, really kind. Food is so fresh. You can tell everything’s local. Trips they run are exactly as described online, on the hotel's website, make sure to check it out when booking. And get them to tell you how they built the place... it changes how you see it. The Garden is amazing. Birds, flowers everywhere. The rooms have these historical coral pieces in them which is such a cool touch. And the reef is literally right there. Rolled out of bed, grabbed my mask, snorkeled without needing a boat. Pool’s perfect too, quiet, refreshing, just what you need mid-afternoon. This place has soul. So do the people. We hope we can go back soon!

We really loved this spot! Veronique and Glen were absolutely amazing hosts, so kind and went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable. There is hot water in the shower! The food is great, and there are options for food (a rarity on Tanna). The place itself is really pretty and they put lovely flowers everywhere. We felt really looked after. It’s a great base to explore the Western side of the island, including the blue holes, blue cave and the giant banyan tree, without paying the prices for the resorts nearby.

Daniel and his wife Chella were incredibly welcoming and lovely, and facilitated all the trips I wanted to do. They had arranged airport transfer and sorted trips to the volcano, giant banyan, Yakel village. The food was amazing and the bungalow was incredibly comfortable with the most beautiful views of the volcano. Loved it so much wish I could’ve stayed longer
