Offering free Wi-Fi and free continental breakfast, The Espiritu is located in the heart of Luganville, just 5 minutes' walk from shops, cafes and dove centers.
The staff is kind and very professional. It was every day such a pleasure. The menu is little bit short but all the meals are well cooked.
Hotel in Luganville
A classic in Luganville since 1975, Hotel Santo is a family-run hotel with a relaxed retro feel, and casual and unpretentious island service.
Lisa and Mary-Jane were very accommodating when our flights to Santo were delayed by several days. Then when we arrived they were so helpful finding ways for us to do everything we wanted to in the short time we were able to stay. The whole hotel feels like a time machine to the 70s (which we absolutely loved) and everything was clean and well maintained. Thank you so much for such a great stay, we'll be back next time 😊

The property is beautiful and quiet, with spacious huts and plenty of privacy. Nice views from the restaurant terrace. Fantastic and easily accessible corals in front of the property. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They arranged several amazing day trips for us. The restaurant has an amazing cook who cooks excellent meat dishes as well as Italian and Asian cuisine. The best we had in Vanuatu in 2 weeks - by far! We had to stay an extra night because of flight cancellation and the manager was very welcoming - even making sure our room was ready again when we returned. We were very happy to stay that extra night! Highly recommended.

Located in Luganville, Aore Breeze offers beachfront accommodations a few steps from SS President Coolidge and has facilities like free bikes, a terrace and water sports facilities.
We stayed on Aore to visit some friends and Aore Breeze was the perfect spot! The apartments are modern and super comfortable and the snorkelling and kayaking right out front was amazing. Russel and his partner cooked us yummy breakfasts and if we needed a lift to other parts of the island Russel took us on the motorbike whenever we needed. Cellphone reception is a bit hit or miss so you need to pre arrange with him if you want to be picked up. We loved our stay at Aore Breeze and would come back

If you are going to Santo, I would not advise to stay in Luganville but rather a resort on the East Coast. Not much happening in Luganville and not close to any of the attractions. If you want a rental car, book it early and preferably a 4WD as attractions are via dirt roads and lots of potholes.
To be fair on Luganville we were there for one day on a Sunday so everything was shut. But our room wasn’t an apartment so we couldn’t even cook noodles or anything, we literally ate crisps for dinner that night. I didn’t feel safe at night in Luganville. It’s way more rural than Port Vila. But it’s right where the boat to Ratua Island is which is why we were there. However I hear the rest of Santo is incredible. I just didn’t get to see any good parts of Luganville.
This town is small and just developing so is not very touristy which suited us fine. This part of Vanuatu is quite poor so facilities are not five star in most places. We enjoyed this, expect activities to be guide expensive, but worth it.
Rent a car and visit the Island. Santo has so much to offer. Millenium cave is a must (you need to be in a good shape but this is very good.) Going up north to Champagne beach, Lonnoc Beach, etc.... Turtle Bay Blue Holes are worthwhile also... great time there. We never saw so many turtles when snorkeling People are very nice and friendly
Much more quiet than Port Vila, great for people than want to avoid crowds and explore local places yet still having all things you might need (wifi, banks, shop) Diving on Coolidge is totally amazing!! Night dive is a must!!!
Our trip was a bit too long since we only dived Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The weather was good the first three days then it rained and no Sun for three days. Five days would have made it for us. Remember there’s a plane going firecylindrede from Brisbane on Tuesday.

Barrier Beach is a beautiful location within easy distance of Luganville. The bungalow was lovely - very comfortable king size bed and great rainfall shower. We loved being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves each night. We ate in the restaurant every day and the food was exceptional. The staff are friendly and no request is too much trouble. We were given a late checkout to coincide with out departing flight at no extra cost. Looking forward to returning to stay again one day.

Fantastic Food in the restaurant, served by friendly and knowledgable staff. Great wine and drinks selections too. For a Vanuatu digs to carry Oyster Bay Sav Blanc was special! Super-super friendly management and staff. Extremely helpful and welcoming. I told them personally that in all my travels, I don't think I've ever been treated as kindly as this.
The Espiritu was like a welcoming oasis each day after exploring the beautiful island of Santo whilst situated in the middle of the bustling little town of Luganville. Staff were amazing, super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Tara and crew for making our group welcome and for looking after us so wonderfully.
Luganville
When they said beachfront. It’s right on the beach. Seperate kitchen and living room was nice. We live in Vanuatu and just wanted a brake away and we know idea how beautiful the place is. The house is nice as advertised a farm house it’s the beach and farm behind which are truely beautiful and Neto Bay for a BBQ and swim was very cool

Fantastic location with snorkelling literally off our back balcony. The staff were all a pleasure, and it was so nice to get to know them all by name, such a nice personal touch. We stayed in 5 different places in Vanuatu, and Aore Island Resort was our favourite!
Mary-Jane and Lisa were extremely welcoming and very attentive. Great hosts of a great hotel! Their garden is stunning, and the flower bouquets made every day were just beautiful. A peaceful and quiet hotel, right in the middle of Luganville!
