The cabin was great. It si very basic as it is very remote, but it’s exactly the type of experience we wanted. And we had direct view of the volcano! Be aware that there is no hot water, no charging ports in the cabin, and only one solar light in it. Our host was great in helping us plan everything for our time in Tanna. And the meals were delicious!

The location of the property cant be beat. You can see and hear the volcano from your bungalow. It was within walking distance of the volcano, traditional villages, hot springs and beaches. The owner Charlie and his brothers are fantastic hosts. They can help plan your days here with suggestions of activities and guiding services. They will organize transfer to and from the airport and to any destinations that are too far a walk. While rustic they are continually trying to improve their amenities and try to be as accommodating as possible to individuals goals during their stay. If you want to truly experience Yasur and Tanna this is the place to go. Piece of Advice bring more water than you think you need.

The hospitality of Philip, Susan and their sons was absolutely incredible. They were so gracious with their time without being over bearing on your privacy. This is the spot to stay when checking out the volcano side of Tanna. You will have everything you need to see the vanuatu culture from the perfect location. For reasonable rates, the hosts will take care of any other logistic you need. -Set up the 2 hour car ride to and from the airport. -Local recipe dinners by Susan and she’s a great cook. I believe they offered lunch as well but I was going on these great adventures they offer to guide you through: -A local village that will show you dances and rituals of their indigenous culture -A hot spring heated river that flows into the ocean overlooking the volcano -And of course, the hike to the rim of the volcano. I had so much time to chat with the family and they are all so kind. I don’t leave reviews, I was very compelled on this one. Stay in this treehouse. Friendly reminder to grab cash and break it down in Port Vila or at the market in Tanna.

The property owners are wonderful. They arranged airport transfers and tours of the local attractions. They provided excellent meals and were wonderful hosts. The location is remote, but the stay included a delicious breakfast, and lunch/dinner were available. The rooms had a great view.

These is a good opportunity to live like the locals in that area. These kind of experiences are not for everyone but I enjoy doing it. Is basic but clean and have the stuff most of all need.
