The White House Hotel, Vaea Hotel Samoa, and Samoana Boutique Hotel got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Apia.
Loved staying at the Samoa Outrigger Hotel, the owners Claus and Laena, their staff, beautiful facilities, the food and customer service was exceptional! Samoa has so much to offer tourists there is lots to see, fabulous beaches like Lalomanu and Namua Island just to name a few, this is one country that has not lost their language or culture and it's fantastic to experience some of the local home grown foods and arts and crafts and also from local artists like Lalovai Peseta that are on offer. The customer service particularly from the Samoa Outrigger Hotel and restaurants like Scalinis, The Pickled Lam Deli & Eatery, Paddles, Giordano's Pizza, Forest Cafe, Janets, Plantation House, Pacific Jewell, Krush, Manamea Art Gallery and our taxi driver Asolelei Toalepai was outstanding and this is a only a few. Great to see one of Samoa icon Cindy of Samoa too and Fashion Designer Cecilia Peterson Keil. Samoa is just magical beyond words!
Apia has everything you need. Although its costly food wise, but has what you need. The luau and meat pizza at Giordano's Pizzeria in Motootua was the best I have ever tasted. We didn't need to hire a car when commuting around Apia . This is due to taxi services being convenient and close by.
I recommend you pre plan your long trip tours of the island, set days where you do shopping, the weather very hot and humid so wondering in town too long give u heat issues e.g stroke, rashes and other illness, remember it's a island of a few things so be open minded , enjoy be safe and always ask if not sure. Say pls and thankyou, or excuse me common sense and manners 💯❤️🇼🇸
Enjoyed looking around the markets and visiting Robert Louis Stevenson's house. If you are visiting Samoa, explore Apia but also get out and about. The South Coast has some wonderful resorts and Savai'i is beautiful with some gorgeous beaches and a really laid-back feel.
Not wanting to be in a place because of restrictions of Government, one's mind adjustments, w/attitude help make the most of the situation, better. Through this stay I met a lot of wonderful people, the hotel I stayed at, the taxis I rode in for various mini tours throughout the island, a brief visit to the Museum, the terrific restaurants w/their diversified menus, Italian, chinese, Indian, as well as the Samoan, traditional takeouts (slightly differnt fr. Tutuila) and that wonderful Seafood Gourment, I ate w/family & guests, and tasting a divine dessert of passionfrt. cheese cake w/ice creme, while family had cones of koko samoa ice creme. Though not a shopper per say, I enjoyed wondering around the open markets of Samoan cultural goods, their fruits/vegetables, fresh morning prepared umus of palusami, ufi, taro. bannana, etc. And then able to find a shop, hidden away near Apia Park, 'Pacific Jewel' a boutique of Samoa's finery in cloth, jewelry and cultural arts and their breakfast/lunch restaurant . . .you have to experience both, which I did on two separate days. Breakfast, enroute to Lolomanu, and shopping the morning I left, to return home. Thank you, Samoa, I learned to see another side w/much appreciation as a tourist, but moreso grateful to be Samoan and to know much beauty remains, still untouched. Alaimalo J. Woo
We loved the friendliness of the people here. Apia is an interesting place but very tired. We traveled around the island in a car and it was lovely seeing the villages and beaches, so stunning. Highly recommend Samoa and would love to return one day.
Apia
I would call this place, "A home away from home". The whole house is perfect to accomodate a whole family. I would recommend this home for every family who's planning a vacation to Apia. The owners are the best. Thank you for welcoming us, we look forward to stay there again. May God bless this home as well as the owners.
The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruits (Banana, pawpaw etc) with very good cereals. The hotel is quite and the staff provides the excellent hospitality. the workers a friendly welcoming as you step into the premises. It a walking distance to town. The best place to stay during you visit to Apia
Staff were great. Thank you Lucy for looking after me! Lucy went above and beyond, very helpful, knowledgeable and always onsite to help with any queries. The location is great - town is within walking distance. Olivia's is a great option for budget-friendly option in Samoa.
Everything! I can not even find fault. The food, the room, the pool were outstanding. From the time we arrived to when we left we were met with smiles and that warm Samoan hospitality. We were all soo sad to leave. This is hands down going to be our go to when we come Samoa
The view looking.down over to Apia and sea Jungle bordering and access to waterfall and swimming hole safe for swimming as well as pool to cool off The beyond all expectations service and going the extra mile by staff almost like family bound
Location. Pasta dish was a good meal and size. Complimentary breakfast. Makes the difference. Would be nice to have some Samoan dishes in there like Koko Alaina or Vaisalo. Our days there had no samoan dishes.
I liked the location alot. It was close to many restaurants and the market. I also liked how easy going the people around the hotel. The shower pressure was amazing!
Good location, not too far from Apia city. The food at the Restaurant was nice. The pool looked nice but didn't get a chance to use it unfortunately.
I liked everything. Gayness and Manu took us and showed the Upolu island. I enjoyed a lot, the stay in Samoa.
Beautiful historic home, a taste of modern Samoa village setting in urban Apia.
The hotel was convenient to town, closer to the shops and more facilities.
