The facility had so much to offer. We loved meeting other travelers and watched a Rugby game on an outside TV. Behind us was a wonderful seating area and a wood burning oven because the outside temperatures were in the low 50th (11C). The breakfast / dining area was wonderful and the food as excellent! There also us an outside black nature pool with was an experience, great! We also loved our accommodation which had heating blankets already in our beds, a split heating / AC unit that was working well plus a wood burning oven which we didn’t use. The lodge was decorated tastefully and very inviting. The office had excellent and very helpful staff (thank you Lionel you were fantastic and we loved speaking to you and learning about your wonderful country.) Overall, this spontaneous getaway was exceptional and we didn't want to leave. We will be back.

Excellent. I want to share a few thoughts in detail. If you are a lover of the oldish classic South Africa and the kind of amazing self catering and people we were used to, then you are in a for a nostalgic treat. Eveything is good - from the blankets to the bed to to mosquito met to the oichlamps to the oven and hob and the brick stool in Showrr to classic spaced Showrr, windows in bathroom to good old English taps to the details in wardrobes hangers - Claire hand lotions room Freshner’s - pots and cutlery iron microwave kettle coffe thoughtful milk Zelda is a good lady - magnanimous enough to check in early for Aquila sunset etc She is those classic people who will be missed - we sincerely liked her notes WiFi was great Very very nice overall place A pearl for a stop over

Beautiful well kept garden and laws. The main house is a lovely rustic gem with lots of history. We loved the Classic, Rustic, antique feel o the property. Our apartment (main house) was also much larger than what we expectations. The pic don't do the property justice. Quiet, and private location with enough space for kids to roam around, play at the park or enjoy a good swim. Was a nice feeling to be surrounded by nature.
