The staff was very welcoming and friendly in every moment. The decor of the place is stunning: the lodges are precisely furnished and always clean. Food was always amazing both at breakfast and dinner. The view from the room was just breathtaking, you can appreciate a perfect sunset with a nice drink from any place in the resort.

We really enjoyed our stay, though the weather was unfriendly. We didn't have the time to chill out on the sun, by the poolside. Generally all was well. The food! Delicious, and you could eat as much as you can.

Beds were comfortable but I am used to a very firm mattress. So I suppose I would find most others on the soft side. The location close to the little town and shopping centres of Hazyview which has first class shops like a Woolworths Food where you can buy excellent provisions for a braai or whatever you are planning. Although Hazyview has expanded a lot over the past 30 year since Thulamela was established, this small intimate little B&B with only 6 cabins retains its character and tranquility. Penny, the owner and host is perfect as are the staff, Julia and the lady who brought us our delicious breakfast. Not a cooked breakfast but delicious.

Beds were comfortable but I am used to a very firm mattress. So I suppose I would find most others on the soft side.
