We do a lot of travelling and this is one of the best self-catering unit we've stayed at. The Old Barn is perfect for a couple. We stayed for a week and thought it had a great private outdoor area for braai, firepit and just relaxing outside (upstairs balcony is great spot too!). Kitchen is really well appointed, quality appliances; living area with its fireplace is very comfortable. Overall high quality furniture throughout. Private and secure parking and alarm system for the cottage. Staff was very nice and welcoming! We would happily stay at Tarry Stone Cottage again!

Dullstroom is a wonderful place, we try to get there at least two or tree times a year. the town is quaint and worth eh visit and the correct accommodation always a pleasure. The fishing is exceptional and one of the primary attractions. Staying at a facility with good food and a spa meets the needs of the entire family. Great place to feed the sole.
We really love quaint Dullstroom . There is always something new to discover and enjoy . It is set in scenic rolling grasslands with numerous dams for fly fishing , biking and walking trails . The little village is charming, and dog friendly , with bespoke craft stores and a nice variety of dining options - whether for a quick bite or something more intimate and romantic. As South African Johannesburg locals it is the perfect short driving distance of just about 2,5 hours on excellent highway most of the way. Whether this is for just a quick weekend away or en route to further destinations like the Kruger National Park, Lowveld ,Blyde River Canyon ( the world's 3rd largest canyon and the biggest green canyon ) and the Panorama Route . It is definitely worth a visit . Wishing you safe and happy travels in beautiful South Africa .
Small town with a village ambiance. Little shops to explore. Plenty restaurant options - Rose’ Cottage and the waffles place are great. Whisky and gin tasting experience right in town. Beware that it does get full during weekends. So it takes long to get food. Will visit again, at different accommodations.
Dullstroom is a beautiful town where you can relax in nature & find yourself again. Lovely shops, wonderful restaurants, friendly people, good trout fishing & so much more to enjoy like the whisky, wine, bear & gin tasting facilities, bakeries, deli stores etc.
The accommodation was excellent The proximity to the village was great The village shops are expensive but varied and great to look around in The fishing dam (fly fishing) was on the premises and available.
Such an incredible place to spend some getaway time. Situated at 2000m, there are almost endless opportunities for places to visit going in any direction from Dullstroom. The town itself is clean, crafty, lovely eateries and full of genuine friendly people. I will definitely go back there again!

What a lovely experience! Owners Greg and Eloise were so sweet and helpful. Full of good advice where to hike, where to eat etc. we stayed two nights, after our first night we went for a hike. We came back and had fresh towels, everything was cleaned, even our dishes, and our homemade-cookie drawer was filled again 😍. Dullstroom was nice to stay. Such a friendly place! We would highly recommend this place to anyone!!

We had a great stay at 712! Munro was a very attentive host and made sure we were well looked after (he even offered to help wash my very dirty car!) The cottage is in a very quiet estate on the border of the Dullstroom nature reserve (with hiking trails, fly fishing etc) which is within walking distance of the cottage. The cottage is immaculately clean and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend it more!
