This exclusive 5-star residence offers a solar-heated swimming pool and a wooden deck with views of the Franschhoek Mountains. Each of the air-conditioned rooms has an iPod Docking Station. I would highly recommend! The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The location is perfect - right near town and restaurants. My room was very large and very comfortable with a very large, walk in shower. Free parking. And breakfast was free with a choice of hot or cold. I will definitely return !!!!!!!
In the heart of the Franschhoek village, the elegant Klein Oliphants Hoek Boutique Hotel offers an outdoor pool overlooking the Franschhoek Mountains. Exceptional standard, particularly liked the personal connection with the staff who made us feel so welcome in a very genuine manner
Surrounded by enchanting vineyards and majestic Huguenot Mountains, Franschhoek Country House & Villas is set on the outskirts of the town of Franschhoek, in the Cape Winelands. Fabulous accommodations. Hot water bottles to warm the beds at night! Flower petals strewn about the floor our last night there. Very accommodating staff, especially Jasper. Darling place! On premise restaurant is top notch. Try the chef's menu with wine pairing!
Featuring an outdoor pool and landscaped garden, Leeu House offers accommodations in Franschhoek, within walking distance to art galleries, restaurants and boutiques. Avocado croissant + Pain Au Chocolat to die for. Don’t miss the egg tarts. The transport between the Estate and the House was very smooth. Heated flooring in the bathroom.
Nestled between the mountains and a river within the picturesque Franschhoek valley, Leeu Estates is located on 68 hectares of vineyards, landscaped gardens and fynbos. Beautiful! Perfect accommodations, Staff, everything is very new, very close to Franschoek.. just perfect!

We are regular visitors to Franschhoek, this was an overnight stay mainly to have supper at Marigold Restaurant. However there are several very good restaurants and wineries, a sedate stroll down the main street in Franschhoek is always a worthwhile exercise. The wine tram always looks very appealing, however we tend to make our own agenda of wine farms to visit, Moresons, La Bri, Haute Cabriere and Stoney Brooks being 4 that we regularly frequent.
Stayed in town near the restaurants and bars which was very convenient. Did the wine tram 2 days ( red line ends with tram and green line starts with it) and totally worth it. Alternatively, you can just uber to wineries. You do need dinner reservations for all of the nicer places fyi . Ate at petite colombe. Super fancy and delicious. Expensive by south African standards but a similar meal in the U.S. would have cost us at least double .
We've visited Franschhoek annually for the past 5 years, and we just keep on coming back. The town, although popular with tourists, never seems too busy. It has everything you need for a short break or a longer holiday - restaurants, bars, cafes, shops etc...etc... The locals are very friendly and welcoming, and the scenery is stunning. Already booked in for 2020!
a bit of a rip off place compared to the old franschoek perhaps overemphasis on arty farty stuff in small stores and wine estates and restaurants all overpriced except italian place in the centre which was really good quality and not overpriced
Beautiful colonial town that has most certainly retained its charm. Great location for exploring the local wineries!! Ate at the “tuk tuk” restaurant which is affiliated to a local micro brewery which was excellent.
The cottage we stayed in at La Chataigne was cosy, clean and what a brilliant location. There are so many things to see and visit at Franschhoek. We enjoyed the Wine Tram and visits to the different wine farms and the Motor Museum was very interesting. There are so many restaurants and for the more informal dining, The Station Pub and Grill is superb.

This is a beautiful property with stylish rooms and of course amazing vistas of lavender and the surrounding mountains. A basic breakfast is served but no other meals and no a la carte service. The rooms are extremely stylish, comfortable, and large. The honeymoon suite and suites 1-3 seemed most beautiful, with french windows and amazing views. The manager Don is just adorable, full of tales and laughs. I do recommend this beautiful property on the whole - we've got some lovely memories of Franschhoek and this little lavender farm.

We had a wonderful stay of 4 nights in a superior svit with hugh terass overlooking the inneryard with the most beautiful garden and poolarea. We also had a beautiful view with mountains around. The hosts were great. The svit was just lovely. Good beds and linens. They had a self catering bar were you put the money in a box. Everything was well thought in every detail. Evelyn and husband keep on right this way and take care of yourself and your family! And thanks to the staff who keep everything so clean and tidy.

Beautiful location (in the middle of a vineyard and surrounded by mountains), house and room. We got the Elizabeth suite in the country house and loved it. Really high-standard, as I’ve witnessed in some 5-star hotels. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good, with various choices. We could only stay one night on our way back to Cape Town, but I wish we could have stayed longer - if I ever come back in the region, I’ll be sure to stay there.

Architecturally this is a very attractive building, especially the pool and outdoor breakfast area with the mountains providing a stunning backdrop. The location is perfect, a short walking distance to all of Franschhoek’s shops and restaurants. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the bed very comfortable, the breakfast plentiful and delicious. And the price was very reasonable compared to other nearby hotels!

The owners family was very nice friendly and helpful. We could use the playground together with their kids. The given recommendations for breakfast and dining were very good and helpful. The accommodation is next to the owners house, fully equipped for self catering and in a quiet surrounding. An own car to get there is essential.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. We had a lovely room with a balcony over looking the vineyard which was stunning. The location is good being on the mountainous side of Franschhoek. The food in the restaurant, Franschhoek kitchen was excellent and beautifully presented.

Everything. I stayed here last year, and I will stay again next year. The location is perfect for Franschoek. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, in very good condition with all the facilities self catering accommodation could require.

Great location, close to the main road, great restaurants and wine farms. Le Franschhoek is our my favorite places to stay. We have been there many times. The villas are great for a family or group of friends.

The Owners are always there taking great care of their clients. Wonderful place. The breakfast is all fresh produce, and rivals a lot of 5 star hotels. Overall, really great experience.
