The grounds and luxury tents were in a nice setting with a lot of seasonal planting upgrades, like their own orange grove, that I would love to return to see in the future. Because the facility is on a hillside, owners were concerned with my walking with a crutch but I managed well. Really enjoyed falling asleep with the tent flaps open so I could look at stars, wake to first sun light and bird song. Everything from bedding to towels and toiletries made me feel like I was in a luxury spa. I really enjoyed the owners young son who was concerned about compression wraps on my legs. He sat me in a chair in front of the tent, went and got my book and kept me entertained until my husband came back from his walk. Such a big heart, full of compassion, in such a small body.

There are two things to do here.

There are two things to do here. The first is to make use of the Orange River by rafting or paddling on it, or fishing in it, and the second is to to visit the Nababeep Park. Looking down the page, I see there is also Aussenkehr Nature Reserve and Richtersveld Conservancy. We were not aware of these other parks. So perhaps the second thing should be to visit parks. The neighbouring town did not appear to have any attractions. It's main function is to house the border officials who work at passport control and customs between South Africa and Namibia.
