Our stay in Worcester was overnight on the way to the West Coast. The town is quaint and pretty. The mountains in the surrounding area are majestic and worth a few hikes and certainly drives through the valleys and hills. The town is circled by orchards and vineyards. There are few prettier and more impressive places in the country. Worcester is welcoming and has good amenities, making the stay calm and refreshing.
Worcester is the hard of the Blind as their primary and high schools are based in the town. A huge selection of wine farms, mountains to hike and the famous ATKV Goudini Spa is nearby the town. Their is also an open air, working museum on the outskirts of the town.
Worcestor has everything from different schools, churches ,shopping centres ,a mall, casino and gim, Worcestor caters for the deaf ,the blind and all walks of life. It is a great place to stay for a weekend or even your whole life.
The Mall and the new casino really adds a brighter spark to Worcester. I love the Hugh mountain scenario they have. Also love the nature surrounding the area. The hiking trails for young people could be a great way to spend the day. Also the spur at the mall has the tastiest spur food I've ever eaten . Quick and friendly service was the making for a great evening.
The N 1 tunnel was the highlight of my trip, followed by the mountains that had waterfalls all around. The scenery is just breathtaking. We went to a coffee shop called Bilinda Birista (could be naming it wrong) but the food and service was outstanding. We visited Bosjes, what was lovely was even though they were closed but they let us in for viewing the place and Chapel was everything and more. The only thing I can warn you about is that it's quite a distance from Cape Town Central.
The mall was an excellent place to visit next to a dam. I have eaten at the wimpy and spur. It is a easy town to find your way around and is on route to Cape Town. The lovely mountains serounding Worcester gives you a country atmosphere. I will easely make Worcester a permanent home.
It was very clean and they went the extra mile with small detail. The bed was very comfortable and the staff very friendly.
