It's off the beaten track, literally and feels like you are right in the thick of the countryside. The cabin we stayed in was great. Really nicely made from local wood. The bed was comfy enough and the fan kept us cool enough. There is no choice with the food but we didn't mind that and it was very nice both in the evening and breakfast. It was a good stay but I am glad we only stayed one night as I think it would not keep your interest for several.

The cabin is very comfortable and clean. The farm offers several activities like hot tube each day, farm tour or chocolate workshop, all great things to do with even small children. Loads of wildlife every day in the morning aflock of toucans came in and hung around for the morning. Couldn't walk the trail both days we were going to it rained. We planned to drive to Rio Celeste to go hiking but then we were told there are private hiking trails to a waterfall at the lodge. We opted for this hike instead and had zero regrets. We got the entire waterfall and swimming hole to ourselves and saw frogs and butterflies on the path! Breakfast was included and it was delicious. The cacao plantations are gorgeous. The staff is very friendly and the Cacao Tour is so interesting. The whole experience feels like you're completely isolated from the world in a wonderful place.

The cacao farm location was beautiful with the possibility to do an hour hike on the property of the lodge. The ladies in the kitchen prepared a great breakfast and dinner with fresh and varying juices.

There are three hikes, which can only be used by the guests of this accommodation. We were all alone at the waterfall hike of this lodge. The owner is very helpful and speaks good English.
