It's a remote location, which could be pros and cons: it's 10-15 min drive from any shops, but it is also so peaceful! I think it's perfect for some retreats where you have almost no connection to civilisation and internet. They have Wi-Fi box, but connection is very slow and barely enough for watching films. There is no smart TV either, so it's mostly you, nature and a good book to read. So it really depends on your expectations really if like it or not. They also have 2 bedroom and living room with nice sofa bed. Few more things: - we loved heated blanket! - easy check in (door was open) - that place is perfect for board games in the living room, so bring some with you!

The cottage is wonderful, but it's the people who make it a really special place to stay. The hosts go beyond the call of duty to make your stay comfortable. This was the start of our camino along the St Finbarr Way and after travelling by bus, the host helped us get from and back to our starting point. The breakfast selection provided was very well thought out and greatly appreciated. The cottage itself is a delight, with a peaceful feel calling you to just sit and enjoy the peace. The food in the restaurant/bar nearby is also very worth a visit.

It was in a good location to get to beaches and nearby towns. Leap itself had several pubs and restaurants to eat and drink. Also a good place to go for a walk and I got a few runs in on the quiet country roads. The property was ideal for us. Very spacious and the kitchen was great for cooking. It was very quiet in the evenings and at night. The beds were comfy and the garden was nice to sit in and walk around. Also ideal for hide and seek with the kids! Lastly, Fabienne and Roland were amazing hosts. They were very friendly and hospitable and our two girls really enjoyed Roland’s candle workshop. I just wish we’d bought some of the homemade bread before we left.

    Comfortabele cottage in cosy style, big enough for us as a couple but could also fit a family with children. Very warm welcoming host, with lots of tips for the region, including tip for the local bar with live music on Thursday night! Skibbereen is just a short car trip away for restaurants or groceries. Good bed and shower, even has washing machine. Very quit surrounding.

    Very cosy as I was there in February. Under floor heating worked really well. The cabin was blissfully quiet. Really exceptional. Wonderful when you just want to escape to peace and quiet.
