Close to ferry port, beautifully restored old house

This home was absolutely perfect. Quiet, clean, inviting and had everything you could need. The owners were incredibly helpful when it came to any questions in and around the islands that we needed. The sauna and cold plunge was an added bonus! Easy to get to the trains, ferries and even included bicycles to get around easily. This place is magical and worth the stay!

If you want to have the real Japanese traditional house experience, this is the place. A beautiful house in a tranquil neighborhood.

A pure gem. Practically speaking, the location is perfect (short distance from the ferry yet quiet street), the house is very comfortable, perfectly equipped and super clean. But there is more: the place has a soul, beautiful details, design furniture, beautiful lightning: this is a home, not just a house, and I wish we stayed longer. Thanks a lot to the owner and manager for also perfect and easy interactions in English. Book this place, grab your bikes when you exit the ferry boat at Miyanoura, and you will enjoy the perfect Noashima experience. We recommend unconditionally (and this is my first ever 10/10 rating I’m picky).

It was a Japanese style home with modern amenities. The beds were all very comfortable. The host even picked us and dropped us to the train station free of charge.

This is a gorgeous traditional Japanese house, beautifully furnished and filled with lovely art pieces and art books. The location is perfect, walkable from the ferry but a little out of the way, and near the Coop for food shopping. The host is very easy to communicate with and helpful. This is my second stay in this house, and I will arrange future visits to the "art islands" around its availability. I've stayed at three other locations on Naoshima, including the Oval, and I far prefer the Juju Art House!

Well located, clean place, and the host was so lovely. The place exceeded expectations and clean.

It was a charming property. We loved the ambiance of the Japanese ryokan with excellent proximity to the port and bikes can easily be stored on the property. The management was friendly and everything seemed easy to navigate in the home with English labels. Thank you for this amazing experience of comfort and culture. Highly recommend this property.

The host is very kind and gave us a ride to a bike rental shop after checking in and to the port after check out.
