This house was perfect. It was clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed (the washing machine and second guest toilet were very useful with a family of five). The location was excellent, near to the city but set in a small hamlet surrounded by countryside. It was great to be able to walk to the local supermarket, and there was a good driveway and useful storage shed. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed going for a swim in the nearby lake, walking in some German forests and going to Arnhem zoo. We loved our stay here in this beautiful country and I hope we will be able to visit here again one day.

It is a rare location and the house is a rare find: it is characterised by interesting architecture, is well set-up and, from the elevated living area, has a wonderful view across the fields that are the property of the hosts. Forest can be found at the end of the road (where my husband jogged each morning), and other forests and walks are accessible nearby, by car. We also made a day trip, by train, to Utrecht, which is a charming old Dutch town. One bed is on the hard side and the other is more pliant, so you can choose what suits you best.
