The breakfast is simple but delicious and very fitting.

If you want to stay in this village (probably because you want to visit the Great Wall) this is the place to be. Tasteful interior, large, bright and quiet rooms (Deluxe category we stayed in) with a comfy bed. Very good food for dinner and breakfast. It is only a 5min walk to the Great Wall cable car. The hosts arranged our tickets for a 8 a.m. start which is highly recommended to avoid the massive crowds a few hours later. The genuine hospitality of the family running the place makes the difference.

First of all, the owner is really helpful and friendly. The location is great, just a few minutes to the Mutianyu Great Wall main entrance. The room is good with mountain views. The food at the guesthouse is tasty 😋 The owner helped us book the ticket and drop-off at the main entrance. After we came back from the great Great Wall, the owner also pick up us at the main entrance back to homestay. They are very kind, allowed us to use their kitchen facilities (we cooked thai food), and we had so much fun conversations with the owner in the kitchen. I saw many cooking techniques from her, really skillful 👍👍 She cooked Gong pao chicken, fried rice and stir-fried tomatoes with eggs for our dinner. I really love it, it was a tasty local food. And the food is more yummy when we can connect to local people and feel all local senses. The next morning, she cooked dumpling with eggs and vegetables for us....yessss it was yummy 😋. Upon checkout, she walked to the bus stop with us and waited until the bus arrived, I really appreciated it. Pity, this time I stay here only one night. I definitely come back to this place as I have a plan to visit Jian Kou great wall. And of course, I will stay at this Homestay again. Thank you so much for such an amazing hospitality. Simatai Great Wall Dexin Folk Restaurant mempunyai pemandangan gunung, WiFi percuma dan tempat parking peribadi percuma di Simataicun, 31km dari Tembok Besar China - Simatai. The room and bathroom were really clean. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We planned a hike on the Great Wall, and they drove us there, helped with the tickets and picked us up afterwards (made a good price). We had an overall good experience!
