It was a lovely little unit with everything we needed. We enjoyed that it was remote and away from the more busy places. It was great to walk around the nearby forests. Host was very friendly and welcoming.

Gesindehaus Charis is a detached holiday home set in Kippenheim in Baden-Württemberg, just 8 km or a 12-minute drive from the Europapark. Guests benefit from a terrace and private garden. Everything! They even took great care of the dogs on a day when I couldn't take them to the conference I was attending.

Best of all, Christine and her family were so hospitable and accommodating. The area has everything you need if you want some outdoor activity as well - a ranch offering horse riding lessons, wine valleys for a panoramic stroll or drink, complete with local Christmas markets, bakeries, and restaurants. The nearby towns such as Gengenbach and Baden-Baden are so charming and just a short train ride away from Offenburg station. If you go slightly further, you can hike at higher altitudes in Mummelsee and Hornisgrinde.

Set in the heart of the beautiful Black Forest, the country-style Blumbauernhof Hotel offers a petting zoo, and a garden terrace. Rooms and apartments include a balcony or patio with mountain views. Wonderful and welcoming farm stay. Amazing breakfast and kids could roam. We enjoyed our stay fully and intend to come back.

Melanie (the owner) was very understanding towards us coming even sooner than expected and gave us the key with the tour of the propperty with no problems at all. She was extra nice even when we asked about using the grill and gave us their char coal to use. I can describe her attitude towards us as Amazing!
