Historisches Haus am Triller is set in Saarbrücken, 1.9 km from Congress Hall, 1.3 km from Saarlaendisches Staatstheater, as well as 2.1 km from Main station Saarbrücken. This historic house is very beautiful and set in a quiet part of town. It has many original features such as coloured glass windows and has been updated to include modern facilities such as a dishwasher and washing machine. The hosts have provided all gadgets that you might need. There's easy parking on the road and it's about a 15 minute walk into the centre of town. However, there is a pub serving food a few minutes up the hill with a convenience store in the same place. A small restaurant is on the street, but it was closed for summer holidays when we visited. The main room is large and tastefully decorated with a sofa and sofa bed (As the second bed is in the room it may not be suitable if you need separate sleeping places). The bathroom with WC is downstairs near the kitchen, with a small shower but is clean and functional. The garden is private and well tended with seating and a table. Saarbrucken is quite a big town and we found some great shopping. The hidden gem is the zoo which we visited on a wet day with hardly anyone else there. Allow at least 4 hours to get around.
